Practice sketches and try not to use eraser often. Watch tutorial videos on sketches and perspective drawings (later is very important part of the exam). Do sketch thing on storyline basis. Practice some step wise step formation drawings.

For the GAT part you can buy any Arihant’s book which has ample of questions and exercises. Solving this book assiduously would be more than enough to crack the gat. Also if you are weak at maths you can jot down all the important formulae and revise it once or while. Try to learn some short cut trick cause time management is a big factor.

NIFT Syllabus 2022

The General Ability Test or GAT for B. Des. and M. Des. consists of the following sections:

1. Quantitative Ability
2. Communication Ability
3. English Comprehension
4. Analytical Ability
5. General Knowledge and Current Affairs
6. General Ability Test (GAT)
   1. Quantitative Ability : This sub-test is designed to test the quantitative ability of the candidates. The subtest consists of questions on Addition, Multiplication, Division, Fractions, Percentage, Rate of Interest, Work and Task, Ratio and Proportion, and Distance.
   2. Communication Ability : This sub-test is aimed at testing the language ability of the candidates in day-to-day communication in English. It includes questions on synonyms, antonyms, words with corresponding meanings, singular, plural, one-word substitutes, idioms and phrases, correct spellings, etc.
   3. English Comprehension : This sub-test is to test one's ability to comprehend a situation from a given passage.
   4. Analytical Ability : This sub-test is designed to test the candidate's inference and logic from the given information.
   5. General Knowledge and Current Affairs : This sub-test is designed to test the candidate's general knowledge and current affairs.

7. Creative Ability Test (CAT)

   This test is administered to judge the intuition skill, power of observation, innovation in the development of a concept, and design ability of the candidate. An important aspect of the test is the creative and innovative medium use of color and illustration skills.

   Managerial Ability Test (MAT)

   It is a test to judge managerial effectiveness. This test comprises of various sub-tests as given below:

   1. Case Study
   2. Logical Ability
   3. Case Study : This sub-test is based on a situation of an industry environment. It helps to evaluate the candidate's managerial ability.
   4. Logical Ability : This sub-test is aimed to evaluate the candidate's ability to identify the logic or reason involved in a particular problem given and apply the logic in solving the problem. Concepts and practices of creative and lateral thinking are likely to be useful. Shortlisted candidates from the written entrance examination are required to undergo a situation test/Group Discussion (GD) / Interview as applicable.

8. Situation Test

   Shortlisted candidates from the written entrance examination are required to undergo a Situation Test which is a hands-on test to evaluate the candidate's skills for material handling and innovative ability in a given situation with a given set of materials.

   Group Discussions

   Case Study based Group Discussions would comprise of approximately 15 to 20 minutes of discussion on a case study assigned on which a panel of experts will assess the candidates on the following parameters:

   1. Conceptual clarity
   2. Knowledge of the topic assigned
   3. Contribution made to the topic
   4. Interpersonal skills
   5. Ability to generate new ideas
   6. Problem-solving approach
   7. Leadership qualities
   8. Effective communication

9. Personal Interview

   A candidate is judged on the various parameters during an individual personal interview by a panel, as listed below:

   1. Career orientation
   2. Aptness for the field
   3. Overall personal achievements in academics and co-curricular activities
   4. Communication
   5. General awareness and aptitude, creative and lateral thinking are likely to be useful.

No, you are not eligible to apply for NIFT E xamination while studying Class 12th. Candidate must have passed 12th standard or an equivalent examination from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects from a recognized board or university.

The National Institute of Fashion Technology conducts the NIFT entrance exam 2022 for entry into various courses.The design courses offered at NIFT campuses include Bachelor of Design (BDes), Bachelor of Fashion Technology (BFTech), Master of Design (MDes), Master of Fashion Management (MFM) and Master of Fashion Technology (MFTech). Candidates fulfilling the below mentioned criteria can appear for the examination:

• Applicants must pass a 10+2 board exam or equivalent from any recognized Central/State Board of Secondary Examination.
• Applicants appearing the 10+2 exam or equivalent in 2022 are eligible to apply for the NIFT entrance exam.
• General category and OBC - NCL candidates' maximum age must be less than 24 years as on August 1, 2022.
• SC/ST/PwD candidates get relaxation of the 5 year upper age limit.

Also below mentioned are the steps how you can complete the application form:

• Register to create the login credentials
• Fill the personal, educational, communication details in the NIFT application form 2022

And if you think that by Skipping PT Unit test you will not get affected by anything then you should go for NIFT Entrance test. and as I said Its only you who can take decision for yourself in kind of situation because its only you who knows that what is good for your life.

The last date to fill the form will be in the last week of december aur correction window will open in january. General Eligibility:

Here are the complete eligibility norms candidates must satisfy to be eligible for NIFT Examination 2022:

Age Criteria:

• For general category candidates, the maximum age limit is 24 years as on 1st August 2022.
• For ST/SC/PHP candidates, the relaxation in age limit is 5 years.
• No age limit for PG courses.

Educational Qualification:

For the candidates those are appearing in the 12 ^th / final year of diploma/ final year of college will be provided admission as per the below conditions:

• Candidates below the age of 18 yrs can submit an affidavit of Rs.10 non-judicial stamp paper signed by parents and guardians.
• If the candidate’s result has not been declared, he/she can submit a provisional certificate of the exam from the institution’s head.
• Candidates have to submit their qualifying degree to the director of the campus before the last date.
