It does not matter what your score in GATE it matter What you rank in GATE and National Institute of Industrial Engineering, Mumbai is college and you get pretty good rank to get this college and it not the easy job.

At NITIE you wil be having the best techno managerial skills and the institute is very old so you can have the better exposure and learning. Also the placement is very good and the highest package offered was 30+ laks per anuum so it is a great deal to have. NPCIL is also a large govt. sector operating India's major nuclear plants. It is also a very good organization to join with. So you have good options you can choose anyone and also you can prefer NITIE as well. A GATE score of 70 + out of 100 will be considered a decent score to apply for NITIE Mumbai courses. The weightage of GATE Score is 35% ,making it a good chance for students with good academic record.
Detailed weightage is as follows
GATE Score – 35%
Academics – 20%
GD- 15%
PI – 30%

Hope you are doing well. I will try to answer your query in detail. First I will list down some eligibiltiy criteria to get admission in NITIE and Cutoff marks for this year 2019. For your information NITIE accepts the score of CAT (Common Admission Test) conducted by IIMs. In 2019 CAT will be conducted by IIM Kozhikode.
NITIE is a great institute for industrial management course.NITIE Mumbai was established in the year 1963. It has been acclaimed as one of the 15 Centres of Excellence along with the seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), six Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) and Indian Institute of Science (IISc) by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India. It has also been recognised as one of the top five Indian schools for supply chain and IT management. All the programmes offered here, are approved by AICTE.
One of the forerunner institutes of industrial management programmes, NITIE Mumbai offers Postgraduate residential programmes, namely PGDIE, PGDIM, PGDISEM, PGDMM and PGDPM. Out of the five mentioned programmes, CAT score is accepted for the PGDISEM (Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Safety and Environmental Management) and PGDIM (Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Management) programmes.
Following are the eligibility criteria for this two courses.
For PGDIM :
60 percent (5 percent relaxation for the SC/ST/PwD candidates)
For PGDISEM :
PGDIM No of Seats : 274
PGDISEM No of Seats : 39
The selection procedure of PGDIM and PGDISEM initiates with the CAT cutoff scores. After the candidates are shortlisted on the basis of the NITIE Mumbai cutoff, they need to appear for a group discussion followed by personal interview for the final admissions.
