can I get nit agartala in 90.98 percentile in jee mains I am from bihar, I belong to general category.

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 20th Apr, 2021

Hi

With  90.98 percentile

You are from Bihar so you will be eligible for other state quota in NIT Agartala

I am extremely sorry to tell you but with above predicted rank you have a low chance in NIT Agartala

For example,

In 6th round of josaa counselling 2020, closing rank for gender-neutral for general category was  50010    under other state in NIT Agarta and it was for Biotechnology and Biochemical Engineering.

You can check the same at

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

Above prediction is on the basis of past year data but  cut off/closing rank for colleges keeps changing every year depending upon many factors like number of students that appeared in the examination, difficulty level of the JEE main question paper for different shifts etc so

To have a personalised report on your chances of getting a college you can go through our college predictor, it will give you complete list of colleges which you can get on the basis of the category you belong to,  your home state, your gender etc, the link for  jee main college predictor is provided below

https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer

To get a seat in NIT Agartala you need at least around 50,000 rank for which you need at least around 96 percentile so to improve your score in remaining sessions of JEE main you should focus on your preparation go through previous year question papers ,mock test papers and to help you in your preparation we have jee main knockout out for you, for which  is provided below

Hi.I got 86.47 percentile in jee mains Feb 2021.Can I get any branch in Nit Agartala or any other college.state:Tripura category ews

Sowmya Konkala 31st Mar, 2021

hello aspirant,

86.47 percentile  could fetch you a rank around 138412-155595.now these are based on previous year analysis .As of now its tough to say because the analysis and also cutoffs change every year due to many factors like total students appearing for exam, difficulty level of paper etc.based on your rank you have fair chances to fetch seat in government colleges like nits, iiits.you have chances to fetch seat in nit agartala ,nit nagaland.now this analysis is based on round 6 closing ranks of last year.but each year as cutoff changes so are your chances into colleges.however once check your homestate cutoff for nits.you can get closing rank for josaa official website: https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

.for more information to get a personalised report on what all chances you have for your rank refer to: https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer

hope this helps,

thankyou.

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 28th Mar, 2021

Hi

It's quite difficult to make prediction but yes on the basis of previous year trend with your rank you have chances in following branches in NIT Agartala under home state which are listed below along with their closing rank under home state in 6th round of josaa counselling 2020 for gender-neutral for general category:-

  • Biotechnology and Biochemical Engineering :- 298578

  • Chemical Engineering :- 328292

  • Chemistry (5 Years, Bachelor of Science and Master of Science (Dual Degree)) :- 270426

  • Production Engineering (4 Years, Bachelor of Technology) :- 389981

You can check the same and closing cutoff rank for other branches as well at

cutoff for Tripura home state for nit Agartala

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 28th Mar, 2021

Hi

I am assuming that you belong to general category

This is a bit difficult to predict the marks/percentile/rank required in JEE mains to get a seat as cut off  keeps changing every year  depending upon various factors like  number of students that appeared in the exam, kind of marks obtained by them , toughness level of the jee main examination , number of seats available for the branch you want etc.

But yes,

When we go through previous year trend then ,

In round 6 of josaa counselling 2020 ,  3,89,981  was the closing rank for gender neutral for general category for home state in NIT Agartala and it was for production engineering

You can check the same at

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

And to get around  3,89,981 rank, you need at least around 70 percentile as per our rank predictor at

https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-rank-predictor

To have a personalised report on your chances of getting a college you can go through our college predictor, it will give you complete list of colleges which you can get on the basis of the category you belong to,  your home state, your gender etc, the link for  jee main college predictor is provided below

what is the minimum percentile is required for NIT Agartala

Anurag Khanna 27th Mar, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

Since you have not mentioned your category so considering it as General or Open category.

As we go through the latest cut-offs of JEE-Main 2020 of JOSAA 6th round then it shows that the closing rank for NIT Agartala was 49420 for Production Engineering branch in NIT Agartala under Other state quota for Open category or General category and for Home state quota it is 389981. Now to secure such rank for other state quota you should have your JEE-Main 2021 score at least 130-140 (around 94-96 percentile) marks out of 300 and for Home state quota, 70-85 out of 300 (around 70 percentile) would be enough

You can check out marks Vs ranks Vs Percentile from the link given below :-

how much percentage should one get in order to get into nit??

Anurag Khanna 9th Mar, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

See there is no any minimum percentile required to be eligible for admission in NITs for any category because the seat allotment process is based on the rank of candidate but if you are General candidate and wants to get into any NIT then you should at least try for 96-98 percentile in JEE-Main 2021 . See the qualifying cut-off percentiles which needs to be cleared by any candidate to sit in JEE-Advance is released along with the final result of JEE-Main and for JEE-Main 2021 the final result will be released after all four attempts will be completed and the final result will be on the basis of your best score amongst different attempts. However basis on previous year's cut-off trends we can help you with the expected qualifying cut-offs for this year :-

  • Common Rank List (CRL) - 90- 95 Percentile
  • GEN-EWS - 70- 75 Percentile
  • Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL) - 70- 75 Percentile
  • Scheduled Caste (SC) - 50- 55 Percentile
  • Scheduled Tribe (ST) - 40- 45 Percentile
  • PwD - 1-2 Percentile

Note that in above table it is not the actual cut-off for JEE-Main 2021 but expected on the basis of previous year's analysis. You can check out previous year's cut-off trends from the link given below :-

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff
