Can I get into a good NIT with 210/300 in jee mains. But I failed in maths by 1 mark in 12th boards.

Sharon Rose Student Expert 10th Aug, 2020

Hello,

With such score the percentile will be around 99 which is a decent percentile and you will have good chances of getting seat in a top NIT. This year the minimum percentage requirement is scrapped off to get admission in NIT and IIT. You need to pass 10+2 with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry from a recognized board. You need to obtain a passing certificate to get admission, other wise you cannot get admission even if you have decent percentile. You need to appear in supplementary exam or apply for re-evaluation and obtain your result by the time counselling starts.

what is the minimum percentile required in jee mains for getting admissions in either NIT Agartala or NIT silchar being an ST student?

Ritik nakra Student Expert 28th Jul, 2020
Hey! The National Institutes of Technology are autonomous public technical and research universities located in India and are among most reputable institutes of technology in the world. If you are non home state student then you must get a rank below 8000 to get a seat in NIT Agartala / otherwise being a home state student you get a relaxation of around 2000 rank. Hope this may help you.

In regards to the recent tweet made by Dr.Ramesh Pokhriyal..where he stated that Only 12 passing certificate is needed for admission to NITs and IITs...Does that mean i can get admission in NIT with my JEE rank even if i failed in maths but passed overall in certificate due to 6th subject..

Sharon Rose Student Expert 23rd Jul, 2020
Hello,
There is no minimum percentage required to get admission in NITs/CFTIs/IITs. But you must pass in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry from a recognised board. You can get admission irrespective of you percentage in class 12 provided you must qualify in JEE Main. If you have not passed in Mathematics you are not eligible to get admission. But if you pass in supplementary exam this year you will be eligible. You need to provide passing certificate.

St Thomas college of engineering and technology vs . NSEC vs. Nit Agartala. vs. Aot hoogly which one is better for CSE branch.

Sohamsengupta8 21st Jul, 2020

Hello student,

Among them the better one that I can suggest you is national institute of technology Agartala or nit Agartala. It is one of the best government nighties which secure 75th rank in n i r f ranking. The faculties of computer science and engineering branch are very much friendly and supportive also. They organised various kinds of seminar and programs to enhance the academics. The computer labs are too good also. The placement is completely depend upon a student how much activities he did in 4 years. In the term of this there are various kind of activities all over the year. Computer science and engineering branch cost total 5.5 lakh for general categories. the placement rate is about 80 percent. The the medium salary package is about 5.5 lakh per annum.

Hope this will help you. To know more click on the link below

Do we need 75% in pcm or 75% overall in boards exams of class 12 to be eligible in NITs??

SHUBHAM KUMAR 16th Jul, 2020

Hello Anupam,

As per JEE Main Eligibility Criteria 2020 , For NITs, IIITs and CFTIs admissions , the candidates should have obtained a minimum of  75  % aggregate marks or be in the top 20 percentile of their respective boards. For SC/ST category, a minimum of 65% marks required .

JEE Main 2020 B.Arch/B.Planning Admission: Candidates should have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognized board with a minimum 50% aggregate marks.

NOTE - you can appear for JEE mains exam with any score ,for the examination there is no such kind of percentage criteria but  you are not Eligible  ( below overall 75%)  for Admissions to NITs, IIITs and CFTIs.

Hope IT Helps

All The Best !!

is barasat adamas university good for bba mba? is adamass faculty and placement good for student?

Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 11th May, 2020

hi,

see adamas university is good for btech courses as well as bba course, however placement is quite good for bba, the average salary package offered was 5 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 3.2 LPA. however I would recommend you to go for mba courses to better colleges like iim kolkata,  iiswbm, or other tier 1 colleges of india.

i am general pwd candidate.how many PR require in jee main to get admission computer science branch in svnit surat ?

Soumili Majumdar 20th Jun, 2020
Hello there,
Since you are from the PWD category, your cut-off percentile is lower than the other categories. You can easily get admission for CSE in SVNIT with a good score. 70-80 percentile will be enough for getting admission into any good engineering college.
Hope this answer helps you.
Good luck!!

I got 93.2 in mains did I get seat in nit agartala (obc (ap))

Shivang Dubey 18th Jun, 2020

Hey

By the JEE Mains formula= (100 - Your Percentile)+ 869010/100 your rank comes out to be near 59,000 AIR in Common rank list. And looking at NIT Agartala last year cutoff the last student to get admission in any branch being in OBC category had AIR ~20,000.

The cutoff may change this year but not very significantly. So with this rank your admission would be difficult, but you still have one more chance in July. All the best. To get detailed cutoff, visit: NIT Agartala
