Yes, income certificate which is issued by circle officer , sub divisional officer or dc is absolutely accepted by all the nits including Calicut.

For fee remission in nits , kindly keep a note of your family income that it should be less than 5L and greater than 1L per annum for 2/3rd remission of tuition fees and for below 1L all the tuition fees will be waived off.

If you are getting cse at NIT calicut then you must choose that, because NIT calicut is same as NIT trichy but cse is very good option for career opportunity.

Hence in my opinion you must go for cse at NIT calicut.

Candidates who have reported and joined in the institute allotted in JoSAA counselling are not eligible to participate in CSAB counselling. To participate in CSAB counselling your must have not allotted seat till special round or shouldn't have reported in the allotted college or withdrew the seat allotted in JoSAA counselling. If you have already taken admission in the institute allotted in JoSAA counselling you cannot apply for CSAB counselling. If you withdrew the seat in JoSAA counselling to participate in CSAB counselling then the seat will be cancelled automatically. Congratulations for your such rank. Hope you are doing great.

See, whatever you will choose, you will have to study it at least for next 4 years and you have to work on that through the rest of your life. So, I will advise you to choose according to your choice and liking on subject.

Now, if you look over other criteria, then NIT Trichy is the top NIT. But there you just get lower branch like Production. Students also take Metallurgy to be a lower branch. But due to that thought, it has been seen that now a days, there are a lot of vacancies remaining on Metallurgy in different companies. So I think it to be a great opportunity. Now, chemical, electrical and other core branches which you are getting in other NITs, are very good. Though core branches are evergreen branches, you must know that students of core branches have very poor opportunities in case of placement.

So think about all these criteria one by one. Talk to your guardians, if possible, then talk to seniors also who have studied engineering or are currently studying. And last but not the least, don't forget to think about your passion for a particular stream. Don't worry.
