Your score is low.As per the previous years cutoffs you have no chance of getting admission to the good NITs even if you are from SC category.You can apply for lower ranked NITs such as NIT Hamirpur, NIT Durgapur, NIT Andhra Pradesh,etc.You can also prefer for one year

As an overall, placements in core branches like civil engineering faces the same plight everywhere when compared to other branches like CSE and circuital branches.
IITs are better in this, as many of the professors have tie-ups with the civil engineering firms or with industry giants so placements
