National Institute of Technology Delhi
HELLO ANKIT KUMAR
congratulations for your result and for qualifying JEE mains.
The expected rank as per your percentile for january exam is 61786. its very difficult to predict the actual rank.your rank might change depending on the no of candiates appear on april shifts. so this is just your expected rank as far as now.
Now coming to your question.
There are broadly two quotas to get into NITs
1. HOME state quota (if you belong to that particular state in which the NIT is situated then you get this quota)
2, OTHER state quota
since your home state is Delhi then you can avail this quota.
The previous year cutoff for NIT Delhi is as follows(HOME STATE ONLY) for SC category.
2018:
2017:
So these are data of last 3 years:
POSSIBILITIES
Well do not lose hope since you still have chance into getting into most reputed colleges with this rank. You also have JEE advanced ahead if you do well then you might get into IIT too!!.There is an april attempt left to just try to score more than 98 percentile and you might get into NIT delhi.
BEST OF LUCK FOR APRIL AND ADVANCE!!!

Your rank can be predicted by using the formula, (100-your total percentile)*869010/100. In your case, your approximate rank would be 61786. This is your overall rank and not your Category rank. Let's say the number of candidates for April exam increased to 12,00,000 then your final rank shall be (100 - your total score) X 12,00,000/100.You can check NIT's previous year cut offs at our page: https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff-for-nit-delh
Going by this, you might have decent chance at NIT Delhi.

First of all Congratulating you on your nice decision to be a researcher, secondly I would like to tell you that don't let anybody else decide your future. If you are enough confident in your ideas and aims, just do it, don't think too much, because confidence is assuredness of your ability to do something. If you have any doubts on your ability then choose accordingly.
Good luck for your future.
Feel free to ask if you have any further queries.
Dear Aspirant,
The general rank cutoff for NIT Delhi is around 6000 AIR. There are around 14 lakh students sit in the exam of jee mains, and getting a rank this good is definitely hard. However, it is not an impossible task and I suggest if you prepare with honesty and dedication then you can get into the NIT-DELHI.
If you are a week student, then I suggest you should take a drop and take coaching from some good institute like ALLEN, KOTA. Then give the exam with your preparation, maybe you get CSE in IIT-DELHI.
Hope this helps.

Hello Harshit.
There is only one way to get admission into NITs . If you are interested in NIT Delhi BTech computer engineering then keep in mind that it is among the top rank NITs of India. For this you have to score much more than the cut off marks of JEE mains. This year exam pattern and all things also changed very much. It will be much better for you to target at least 180 marks.
Hope you get it.
Good luck
