YES,there is a strong chance of getting a seat in civil engineering in home state quota because previous year the seat alloted in 7th round on a rank of 35000 and metallurgical engineering,chemical engineering . also chances getting other top branches is there but the probability is 50-50.

I really appreciate your hard work but to get admission in CSE,IT,ECE,EEE you need a good Rank with your rank you won't able to take admission in your desire branch but you can get admission in Bio-Technology and Metallurgical and Material Engineering. Hope I have made myself clear.

Sorry your son can't get into NIT duragpur with 30,000 rank.Because according to last year even the lowest rank was around 16750 rank.Give other entrance exam too as a backuo plan.
