I am a b.tech final year student from Electrical Engineering . My c.g.p.a is 7.2 Am I get a chance for take admission in NIT or IIT without Gate2020?

S. Saha Student Expert 7th Feb, 2020
It is not at all possible. If you are from any CFTIs having more than 8 CGPA, then going through screening test and interview you can get into the campus. Otherwise, GATE is the only way for engineers to get a seat in IITs or NITs. Some of the NITs do consider non GATE students by the following criteria- part time, sponsored and self sponsored candidates without stipend.

what is the cutoff in NIT Goa to get into computer science and engineering for 2020-21

Yastika Kumar 4th Feb, 2020

Hi Shweta,

The cutoff for all the NITs and IITs for the year 2020 will only be available after April session exam. But from previous year cutoff you can infer it.

Since you have not mentioned any category so I am assuming it to be general. For Computer Science and Engineering the opening cutoff was 12921 and closing cutoff was 34667.

Ive got 70.1% percentile in jee mains 2020 and Im pwd candidate, is there any possibility to get nit goa? (and Ive 79% percentage in boards)

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 20th Jan, 2020
Your rank can be predicted by using the formula, (100-your total percentile)*869010/100. In your case, your approximate rank would be 260616. Let's say the number of candidates for April exam increased to 12,00,000 then your final rank shall be (100 - your total score) X 12,00,000/100. Regarding NIT Goa, you haven't mentioned your Category. Neverthless, you can check the previous cut offs for NIT Goa at our page: https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff-for-nit-goa
Now to predict colleges, please use our college predictor:

Hey there

Getting 75% is one of the criteria which makes you eligible for the college for taking admission in the college you'll have to get good marks in JEE mains and then only you have chances of getting admission. OBC reservation is not that much so prepare for good rank.

Abhishek Roy Student Expert 16th Sep, 2019
Hey!There.
Right, you are BITSAT Aspirants..Since you are class 11,so you have enough time in BITSAT examination..BITSAT entrance examination pattern is entirely different from other engineering entrance EXAMINATION as it comprises of aptitude section, language section, Physics, chemistry and mathematics section. It demands accuracy with time to score 350+..So,go through each and every topic of subject.Rignt now focus only Physics, chemistry and mathematics.Solve problem as much you can, this will clear your understanding and concept..And before 3months of examination solve previous years papers it will helps you in getting idea about question pattern that being asked in examination and also that time you can look for aptitude and language section.
