which is better nit goa or nit puducherry

Subhrajit Mukherjee 25th Jul, 2021

See both this NIT's are new NIT's. But both these have great potentials to come up in contrast to the top NIT's. I would say if you want to pursue course in UG engineering then go for NIT GOA. NIT GOA have better infrastructure as compared to NIT PUDUCHERRY. It has good number of well experienced teachers and have ranked in top 50 by NIRF. The college have good lab work and the curriculum is also very relevant to the industrial need. Also NIT GOA have good placements ratio compared to NIT PUDUCHERRY. The difference between this two is very slight but if you have to choose then choosing the best is the right choice. As per the information NIT GOA is better than NIT PUDUCHERRY.

*I would like to recommend you to do a research by yourself and then only take decision.

NIT Goa Vs SRM kattankulathur? which is better for Goa Domicile?

Aman Mishra 19th Jul, 2021

Hello,

The both colleges which you have mentioned are unique in their particular ways ie, NIT Goa is the National level college and also popular as well as reputed college and on the other hand SRM is a private college but it is one of best and famous private institutions in India. Now as you have mentioned that you belong to Goa State and you have Domicile certificate also than i would suggest you to go with NIT Goa because it has been a National Institute Of Technology which it self says it’s reputation and the major plus point is that it has low fees structure compare to SRM and SRM Universities have a little higher fees and in terms placement they both stand together with 90% plus placement records and hence now you can choose wisely that which is best for you in every terms.

Thank you..

NIT Goa Vs SRM Kattankulathur? Im Goa resident student general category. which is a better option?

Atul Singh 17th Jul, 2021

Dear Student,

They both are the good colleges are coming at the same position in most of the prospects still their are some point which makes the NIT goa different from SRM KTR.

First SRM is the private college and NIT is the government and in both the colleges infrastructure is somewhere same.

1. Teacher and student ratio- In NIT only limited students are allowed for a particular branch but in SRM you will see a large number of student for the same branch. So in NIT student & teacher ratio is the best.

2. Faculty- In SRM mostly teachers are really not cooperative you have do everything by own but in NIT every faculty is best.

3. campus- Ofcourse SRM beats NIT here, SRM has the large wide lush green campus where every facility is available but NIT Goa is somewhere lacking.

4. Placements- Coming to the placement, In SRM there is huge variety of recruitment process and her the average package is around 7-8 lacks while highest package is 35 lacks p.a., now talking about the NIT Goa the average package is around 8 lacks p.a. and highest package is 16 lacks p.a.

from my side i will suggest you to choose NIT Goa, but the decision is totally up to you.

Best Of Luck!!!

Can one with 35k rank in JEE mains get a seat in NIT Goa for electrical under home state quota general?

sheemaashraf123 30th Nov, 2021
It depends upon the JEE Main and JEE Advance cut offs, If You manage to qualify the exam by achieving the cut off, You can apply for JOSAA Counselling. It should be noted the cut off for EWS/SC/ST/FEMALES/OBC category is lower than the general category

If you manage to qualify JEE Main Cutoff, You would be eligible for JEE Advance which is the intake exam for IITs as mentioned above.

However It is usually advised to fill the choices as per the preference of colleges and departments, for example CSE in NIT Trichy is your priority followed by CSE in NIT Warangal, you can fill CSE at NIT Trichy at serial number 1 and CSE at NIT Warangal at serial number 2 and so on and so forth. However to get any NIT, you must have qualified JEE Mains and to get any IIT, you must have qualifies JEE Advanced

But the previous cut offs of colleges should be taken in consideration, it is better to research over the cut off of colleges then make a preference list of colleges and fill accordingly

For the college preferences and the courses provided by these colleges and to know which colleges participate in the JOSAA counselling, please go to the below mentioned link: https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/josaa-participating-institutes/amp

what must one from NIT Goa do in order to get admission into a top private or public grad University in USA for Ms in EEE do?

Akshita Dhiman 7th Jul, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

For any candidate who is willing to pursue Ms abroad, below are the necessary pre-requisites: (Also, please check the university requirements too, they might vary)

  • A bachelor's degree of 3-4 years in the relevant field in your case being EEE. Usually, they'll accept candidates with 12+4 years of education.
  • Your GPA or CGPA should be at least 65 percent.
  • English Proficiency tests, TOEFL or IELTS.

  • A good GRE score

  • SOP
  • 2-3 recommendation letters.

Give Extra weightage to the below pointers, they play a cardinal role in your application:

  • Mention your research or internship projects

  • You can add your academic achievements as well

  • If you have any published research papers, that'll be an extra bonus.

  • Extracurricular activities. (here is a chance to flaunt those leadership skills)

Coming to the steps that you need to follow:

  • Firstly, make a list of universities that you want to go to and also factor in your budget. Make sure to keep track of the deadlines, as they vary from college to college.
  • Next, your portfolio needs to stand out. Your academic scores need to be consistently good, plus there will be candidates that might have scored the same as you, so add extracurricular, a standout SOP. Your SOP can give you an edge over the other candidates, keep it clear and it should be convincing. Checkout various articles on YouTube or google on how to write your SOP,
  • Keep all your documents ready. LOR, transcripts, any work experience certificates, internship certificates, certificates of extracurricular activities, standardized test scores proof.
  • Apply to the university. The earlier you apply, the better.
  • Once application is accepted and offer letter is rolled out proceed for the VISA process.

Further, do not restrict yourself to applying only 2-3 universities. The more universities you apply to, the more chances you'll have of getting accepted.

which is easier for a Goa domicile general category student? Getting into BITS Goa or NIT Goa?

Atul Singh 4th Jul, 2021

Dear student,

In both the colleges reservation is available on the different basis, lets talk about both separately.

1. For NIT Goa,

If you are a resident of Goa then you will get benefit as a home state reservation system. Around 40% seat is reserved for student who have the domicile of Goa, in case of vacant seats 10% is reserved for Daman and Diu, Dadar & Nagar Haveli and Lakshadweep students.

2. For BITS Goa

There is not a reservation system for home state student still you get some part of reservation if you are the board topper of your respective state.

But if you are getting both the colleges then I would suggest you to go with the NIT as it comes under the state government besides BITS which is a private institute.

Best Of Luck!!!
