Sharon Rose Student Expert 31st Dec, 2021

Hello,

This year a candidate with rank 2797 (category rank) belonging to SC category secured admission to Computer Science Engineering in National Institute of Technology, Jamshedpur under home state quota. Considering the previous year cut off your category rank must be around 2700. To secure such rank you need to aim to score minimum 95-96 percentile or above in JEE Main. To secure such rank you need to score minimum 150-190 marks or above. The above mentioned scores are estimated score, the actual percentile and the rank may vary. which will be best options?please rank in an order: nit Durgapur ECE,nit kurukshetra ece,nit Jamshedpur ece, iiit lucknow it,iiit pune CSE,iiit vadodara cse, iiit Kurnool cse

pandeyadarsh951 30th Dec, 2021

If you are a person who is willing to compromise with cse branch not to vast extent but enough to be satisfied with ece then nit kkr ece is best option and then iiit lucknow IT  because its placements have improved vastly over the years then come nit durgapur and jamshedpur both go neck to neck and it depends which one you want to choose and other colleges since they are comparatively newer I wont advice you to go with them as not much information about coding/placements and other things are available about them.

Hi, I am getting cse in Jamia but getting mech in nit jamshedpur...what should I choose

pandeyadarsh951 30th Dec, 2021

If you are not too much oriented towards cse branch then I would suggest you not to drop the nit tag and go for mech at nit jamshedpur though if you are inclined towards cse then jamia is also a good college but the competition level and coding culture is far better than most colleges in india also companies do care about the tag as well and at last you always have an option of branch change if you work hard in first year.

nit Durgapur cse or nit jamshedpur cse or kurukshetra IT...???which one should I prefer...???(other factors not considered)

pandeyadarsh951 29th Dec, 2021

Nit kurukshetra might be the pick of all 3 colleges you mentioned here firstly because it is closer to Delhi which in itself a great advantage moreover nit kurukshetra nirf ranking is also good and placement in both cs and it are great with good companies comming to hire students so overall nit kurukshetra may be best option also its infrastructure is also better.

what should I join hbtu chemical vs nit jsr mettalurgy

pandeyadarsh951 29th Dec, 2021

Here you should consider two factors that if you leave nit jamshedpur then you will leave the nit tag which is very important on the other hand if you leave hbtu then you will leave chemical branch so you should be sure what risk you are going to take in my opinion nit jamshedpur metallurgy is better as it gives you an nit tag plus you study with top minds of india which is great in itself moreover metallurgy is not too far away from other core branches so it is better rest is your pick choose wisely.

Hii dear

Hope you are doing well. NIT JSR is a good college in terms of placement and accommodation. You will see the stats for this college is average. Now, metallurgy can be a good option as a Branch in here because Tata company directly recruits from here and you have a better chance for placement. The Branch schedule is not very hectic so you can pursue your interests too.

which is better to choose nit Jamshedpur mechanical or iiit CSE?

smriti.sinha.390 27th Nov, 2021
Hello Aspirant! Hope you are safe and sound!
Every college has its own uniqueness . Choosing between NIT Jamshedpur (mechanical) and IIIT(cse) is quite tough. As per placement scenerio, I would recommend you to go NIT Jamshedpur 96% students get placed with average salary 6lpa+ . Study environment and campus life are also so good in NITs as compared to IIITS . But it depends on your interest whether you want to go for mechanical engineering or CSE engineering.

Hope it helps! All the best!
