So, in my opinion IIT Guwahati is better than NIT because first of all IIT is always a better option than NIT and secondly IIT Guwahati is among the top colleges and a good ranker also has a beautiful infrastructure and campus. Most importantly it depends on you whether you want to look for the comparison in colleges or choose the one you are truly interested in and what subjects they offer.

But according to the rankings, NIT surathkal is better and the branch you are getting there is also great.
