National Institute of Technology Kurukshetra
Hi
I am assuming that you belong to general category
This is a bit difficult to predict the marks/percentile/rank required in JEE mains to get a seat as cut off keeps changing every year depending upon various factors like number of students that appeared in the exam, kind of marks obtained by them , toughness level of the jee main examination , number of seats available for the branch you want etc.
But yes,
When we go through previous year trend then ,
In round 6 of josaa counselling 2020 , 44723 was the closing rank for gender neutral for general category for home state in National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra and it was for Production and Industrial Engineering (4 Years, Bachelor of Technology)
You can check the same at
https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx
And to get around 44723 rank, you need at least around 96.5 percentile i. e around 110 marks at least as per our rank predictor at

With 97.5 percentile
your rank will be around 25575 - 28750 as per our rank predictor at https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-rank-predictor
Your obc rank will be around 7000.
Your home state is haryana so you will be eligible for home state quota in NIT Kurukshetra
It is quite difficult to make prediction but yes as per past year trend , you have chances in following branches in NIT Kurukshetra which are listed below along with their closing rank in 6th round of josaa counselling 2020 under home state for gender neutral OBC category :-
Civil engineering :- 14007 obc rank
Electrical engineering :- 9233 obc rank
Mechanical engineering :- 10685 obc rank
Production and Industrial Engineering :- 18666 obc rank
Above prediction is on the basis of past year data but cut off/closing rank for colleges keeps changing every year depending upon many factors like number of students that appeared in the examination, difficulty level of the JEE main question paper for different shifts etc so
Hey!
As per the previous years records, and if you are a general category candidate then you will need 35-40 marks to qualify GATE . And to get admission in DTU or NIT Kurukshetra three digit rank is enough. But if you want a good branch such as CSe or ECE/EEE then you will need rank below 600. Overall, you need to score atleast 80+ out of 100.

hi,
see as per the nits fees payment structure policies students have to pay the semester wise fees before the commencement of classes of semester. since you have enrolled on 2020, you would have two semester completed upto the counselling of jee main exams. due to covid 19 the schedules were changed in the past, but for 2021 it would be same as earlier years. so you have to pay the two semester fees, now coming to the leave from college I suggest you to wait for jee mains result and counselling process. if you get your desirable college in counselling, then you may go for the admission cell of nit kkr and take necessary steps to cancellation of current candidature.
Dear,
Delhi Technological University, Delhi has higher rank.
The placements at DTU are good as compared to NIT kurushetra. The Median salary is Rs. 9 lakhs for B.tech. The fees is more of DTU .
Placements of DTU-
There placements are very well, even some students got placed in Amazon and Google with very well and effective packages even it is good for mechanical branch , and many students got placed in Tata, Bajaj, Ford, Maruti companies. Mechanical students get nearly 8-10 lacks per annum package.
Placements of NIT kurushetra
A very good placement percentage with more than 95% and average package of 6-7 lakhs .Some of the companies which come for recruitment are flipkart ,Amazon , Maruti , Bajaj , TCS , CDAC etc.

It doesn’t matter which branch you are in, you can still pursue your interest.
Also, the academics at DTU is good. Also, the number of companies visiting DTU will be more than NIT Kurukshetra.
So,It’s totally upon you, both the choices are good.

If you have to chhose between ECE only then I think it will mainly be based on you.
As you have one option of NIT and other is a state university.
Fee of DTU is more. But placements is good.
As compared to NIT kurukshetra ECE placements of DTU is better.
So you can choose based on these.
