How much do I need to score to get into NIT Kurukshetra under home state quota?

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 18th Apr, 2021

Hi

I am assuming that you belong to general category

This is a bit difficult to predict the marks/percentile/rank required in JEE mains to get a seat as cut off  keeps changing every year  depending upon various factors like  number of students that appeared in the exam, kind of marks obtained by them , toughness level of the jee main examination , number of seats available for the branch you want etc.

But yes,

When we go through previous year trend then ,

In round 6 of josaa counselling 2020 ,  44723 was the closing rank for gender neutral for general category for home state in National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra and it was for Production and Industrial Engineering (4 Years, Bachelor of Technology)

You can check the same at

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

And to get around 44723 rank, you need at least around 96.5 percentile i. e around 110 marks at least    as per our rank predictor at

I got 97.5% in jee main 2021 march attempt from haryana in obc-ncl which branch will i get nit kurukshetra??

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 17th Apr, 2021

Hi

With 97.5 percentile

Your obc rank will be around 7000.

Your home state is haryana so you will be eligible for home state quota in NIT Kurukshetra

It is quite difficult to make prediction but yes as per past year trend , you have chances in following branches in NIT Kurukshetra which are listed below along with their closing rank in 6th round of josaa counselling 2020 under home state for gender neutral OBC category :-

  • Civil engineering :- 14007 obc rank

  • Electrical engineering :- 9233 obc rank

  • Mechanical engineering :- 10685 obc rank

  • Production and Industrial Engineering :- 18666  obc rank

You can check the same at

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

Above prediction is on the basis of past year data but  cut off/closing rank for colleges keeps changing every year depending upon many factors like number of students that appeared in the examination, difficulty level of the JEE main question paper for different shifts etc so

To have a personalised report on your chances of getting a college you can go through our college predictor, it will give you complete list of colleges which you can get on the basis of the category you belong to,  your home state, your gender etc, the link for  jee main college predictor is provided below

How many marks (out of 100) do I need to score in GATE EE and IN respectinvely in order to get a seat in M.Tech Electrical Engineering in DTU? Alsp please tell the same for NIT Kurukshetra (With state quota) I have Delhi Quota also.

ginnisachdeva02_9364270 Student Expert 29th Dec, 2020

Hey!

As per the previous years records, and if you are a general category candidate then you will need 35-40 marks to qualify GATE . And to get admission in DTU or NIT Kurukshetra three digit rank is enough. But if you want a good branch such as CSe or ECE/EEE then you will need rank below 600. Overall, you need to score atleast 80+ out of 100.

I had taken admission in NIT Kurukshetra in 2020 in Electrical Engg. Now I want to leave NIT KKR to attend Jeemains 2021 and then Jee Advance 2021 to get my final dream. Please suggest and clarify how much fees to deposit to nit KKR to leave college.

Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 20th Dec, 2020

hi,

see as per the nits fees payment structure policies students have to pay the semester wise fees before the commencement of classes of semester. since you have enrolled on 2020, you would have two semester completed upto the counselling of jee main exams. due to covid 19 the schedules were changed in the past, but for 2021 it would be same as earlier years. so you have to pay the two semester fees, now coming to the  leave from college I suggest you to wait for jee mains result and counselling process. if you get your desirable college in counselling, then you may go for the admission cell of nit kkr and take necessary steps to cancellation of current candidature.

WHICH SHOULD I CHOOSE BETWEEN NIT KURUKSHETRA MECHANICAL ENGINEERING AND DTU MECHANICAL ENGINEERING

roopalsengar04 15th Dec, 2020

Dear,

Delhi Technological University, Delhi has higher rank.

The placements at DTU are good as compared to NIT kurushetra. The Median salary is Rs. 9 lakhs for B.tech. The fees is more of DTU .

Placements of DTU-

There placements are very well, even some students got placed in Amazon and Google with very well and effective packages even it is good for mechanical branch , and many students got placed in Tata, Bajaj, Ford, Maruti companies. Mechanical students get nearly 8-10 lacks per annum package.

Placements of NIT kurushetra

A very good placement percentage with more than 95% and average package of 6-7 lakhs .Some of the companies which come for recruitment are flipkart ,Amazon , Maruti , Bajaj , TCS , CDAC etc.

So, You can make your decision based on these points.

Also, the academics at DTU is good. Also, the number of companies visiting DTU will be more than NIT Kurukshetra.

So,It’s totally upon you, both the choices are good.

Which should I choose: NIT, Kurukshetra for ECE or DTU for ECE?

Pakshal Ghiya 4th Dec, 2020

Hello,

If you have to chhose between ECE only then I think it will mainly be based on you.

As you have one option of NIT and other is a state university.

Fee of DTU is more. But placements is good.

As compared to NIT kurukshetra ECE placements of DTU is better.

So you can choose based on these.

All The Best.

how is civil engineering of NIT kurukshetra? is it worth to study civil engineering here? and should i practice coding while i am civil engineering student here to get placement in IT sector?

Shrishty sahu 28th Nov, 2020
Dear student,
Nit kurushetra is a good college to pursue civil engineering. The ranking of a college is decided ny its placements. Every year 40-50% students get placed. Companies like L&T, Bridgecon, WSP, Tata Consultancy and PSUs like IOCL, IRCON visit the campus. The average salary offered was about 4.5-5 Lacs, with the lowest salary package as 3.6 Lacs and the highest package offered was 17 Lacs by PSUs.
You can definitely practice coding in your college as a backup option. If you don't find civil placements good enough you can apply for the IT sector companies as in most of the companies they allow students from every branch to sit for the placements.
