As per the eligibility to apply for NIMCET, You should have B.Sc. / B.Sc. (Hons) / BCA / BIT of minimum three years full-time from a recognized University with Mathematics/ Statistics as one of the subjects Or B.E./ B.Tech. from a recognized University with minimum 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA on a 10-point scale as General OBC Category and 55% marks or 6.0 CGPA on a 10-point scale as SC, ST Category.

Assuming that you belong to general category I am very sorry to tell you that you might have a less chances to make it into the colleges under the b category based on the marks you have obtained. But don't worry about it and try through various counselling sessions.

Did you get admission in any IPU college?

Well you have got 4896 rank in NIMCET which is not so good. And obviously you are not going to get a nit with this rank. Because last year nit closed around 700. But there are other colleges which you will get like Dy Patil , maybe Anna. Nit sure about HBTU Kanpur. With this rank you will get a seat in Hyderabad University, but there is only slight chance.

Well Aditi you have got an average rank in NIMCET which is 1622 in general category. Now talking about IPU. Then you should know that IPU accepted only IPU-CET scores till last year and it started accepting NIMCET scores from this year onwards. So there I no such previous year records of rank with which college can be predicted. But making a rough approximation it might be possible that you will get main campus in IPU.

See Parth you are saying that you got 1867 air in NIMCET. Which is not good not bad. Average rank. Now talking about IPU. 

You should be aware of that IPU has tarted accepting NIMCET scores from this year onwards. So there is no such previous year record available which could be used to predict that you will get the college or not. 

But a rough approximation you have slight chance of getting in IPU.

See Udutha you should be knowing that IPU accepted only it's IPU-CET exam scores till last year. But ffrom this year they started accepting NIMCET scores also. 

So the counselling process will remain same as it was before . IPU will release a merit list on the basis of which students will be taken in IPU. So you got to maintain good rank.
