if you have any other better option to this college then you have to switch. NIT for m.tech is good not best, but you at least get this NIT. you can choose college according to your choice or try next time for PSUs or IITs.

Glad to inform you that to secure a seat in any of the NIT's across India for pursuing B.arch one needs to have a rank under 2500 in Jee Mains Paper 2. If you have some sort of quota you might secure a seat even with a rank

IT branch in NIT Patna was most probably included in it's course list a couple of years back and it's moving on successfully.

Both NITs are good and comparison is not feasible. Both the branches are also good. It depends on you, which branch you are interested in. Follow your passion and chase your dream and success will come knocking at your doorstep.

You need a minimum of 25000-30000 rank to get any course in NIT Patna if belonging to Home state quota with Civil available for upto 30K rank. 

In other state Quota, you need atleast 27K rank. Civil is available at 27K rank.
