Through CG PET rank, you can only get admission in the State Engineering colleges.

But, NIT is a centrally funded National level institute which gives admission only through JoSSA counseling.

For admission in any NIT, you need to clear JEE Mains and your JEE Mains rank will decide whether you will be able to get admission or not.

If you are talking about the same branch in both the colleges I would recommend you to join NIT Raipur.

I believe  Since NIT Raipur is a national level government college it would provide you  more opportunities.

More over it will have students from all across the country which will give you more chances to learn from different class mates .

NIT PATNA

Placements : Placements in NITP are average. The highest salary package offered was 42 LPA, and this was the highest package offered among all NITs. The highest package offered last year was 39 LPA, and this is also the highest package offered among all NITs that year. Placements for the students of the core branches like civil and mechanical are average.

Faculty : There is a new system named relative grading introduced this year. The entire syllabus has been revised. Every branch has introduced a core subject in the first year to prepare the students for their better future. Faculty members of our institute are highly experienced.

NIT RAIPUR

Placements : This institute assures 100% placements for all the eligible candidates of the departments like CSE and IT, etc. Other branches like mechanical and electrical departments also have a placement record of 80%.
