National Institute of Technology Raipur
Hi,
First of all you should decide your preference among EE and ECE .
In my opinion you should take ECE in NIT Raipur. Also you can be placed quite well in ECE.
According to me you should go with that branch in which you find yourself more interested. "DEEP INTEREST " is key to success in any branches. i think it's interest which led to success in any branch, it is better in term of placements. one thing you should always keep in mind that both the institute are premier institute but NIT Raipur is something different from other institutes(IITs/NITs).It has vision of becoming leading institute in the world by upcoming next 6-7 years and for this vision rapid growth of institute is on it's track, within 3 years NIT Raipur is ranked between 6-9 top NITs by different websites(inclusive of 6 and 9).
ECE: Electronics and Communication Engineering EEE: Electronics and Electrical Engineering
EEE: Electrical and Electronics Engineering branch deals with Electrical technology and machines, circuit analysis, electronics, electromagnetism, electrical engineering materials, instrumentation, control systems, power engineering and transmission and distribution.
ECE: This branch mainly deals with analog transmission, basic electronics, solid state devices, microprocessors, digital and analog communication, analog integrated circuits, satellite communication, microwave engineering, antennae and wave progression. It also deals with the manufacturing of electronic devices, circuits, and communications equipment.
Placements:
EEE: Electrical graduates are employed in Electricity Boards/Utility companies responsible for installation, maintenance, operation of power handling equipment and systems. Industries manufacturing large electrical machines and equipment employ engineers in design, production and testing. For individuals dreaming of JTO(Junior Training Officer), DRDO(Defence Research and Development Organisation), ISRO(Indian Space Research Organisation) and GATE, EEE is not a good choice. This is because they have a separate paper for ECE, while students pursuing EEE have to study a lot of other things. Besides this, EEE students can’t take IES while ECE students can.
ECE: In ECE, the scope to land into government jobs is great. An electronics engineer can find a job in Central Government, State Governments and their sponsored corporations, private industries dealing in manufacture, sales and services of electronics consumer goods and appliances. Additionally, electronics engineers are also absorbed into the broadcast industry, research establishments, and defence.
NIT Durgapur and NIT Raipur are quite the same with no much difference.
Its all upon your interest and your choice of career.
Hope this helps.
Good luck.
When you have to compare two colleges and have to arrive at a conclusion then you have to choose some of the parameters. This parameters can be a distinct number of events but to conclude this answer I am choosing some of the most important parameters like:
Infrastructurally both the colleges are great. The curriculum in both the colleges are good. From the point of view of Faculties there are not much of distinguish you can do. Now see from the course point of view, ECE is a better one than Civil Engineering. The placements rate as well as the scope you will get to explore in your career through this will be better than Civil Engineering. So going for ECE in NIT Raipur is a better choice than going to NIT Trichy for Civil Engineering.

I hope this answer helps. All the very best for your future endeavors!
Both the colleges you have mentioned have good infrastructure and there are no as such difference between them in terms of it. The curriculums are well balanced in both the colleges. Now faculties in Calicut are more involved to research than Raipur but both of this colleges are great. Now the placements are good in both of them. But if you see the average package offered then Calicut have a better perspective over Raipur.
On comparing, if you don't have any subject bias then I would recommend you to go for the NIT Calicut EEE.

NITs are the most reputed colleges for Engineering after IITs. So, when we compare the Academics it will be almost same in Andhra and Raipur. When it comes to Infrastructure, NITs are quite well known for their architectural beauty of the campuses. They have well-equipped laboratories, Auditoriums, Cricket stadiums, Football Courts.
Placements: Almost all the students from NITs get placed in MNCs with high paying jobs. Highest package will be around 40LPA. Average package will be 6LPA.
Both the branches CSE and ECE you mentioned here will have umpteen number of opportunities. The only difference will be your area of interest towards particular stream or subject. If your interest is in Computer science and Programming languages you can go with CSE. Or if your interests are towards electronics, electronics gadgets you can choose ECE.
Job Opportunities: If you choose CSE you get to work as Software Developer, Web Developer, Information security analyst, computer hardware engineer, computer programmer and many more.
Hope it helps!
Hello Aspirant,
In terms of placement, IIIT Kancheepuram would take advantage because of CSE branch. Placements offered in CSE branch are comparatively higher than that of any other branch, so just because of CSE branch here ECE in NIT Raipur lags behind.
Now when it comes to the campus size, then NIT Raipur has quite bigger campus as compared to that of IIIT Kancheepuram. NIT Raipur has the campus size of 80 acres whereas the campus size of IIIT Kancheepuram is only 51 acres.
Faculties are well qualified in both the institutions and syllabus is also based on the latest curriculum prescribed by the AICTE and other authorized boards.
Fee for B.Tech in NIT Raipur is little bit high around 5.4 Lakhs as compare to that of IIIT Kancheepuram having fee of around 5.25 Lakhs for the complete course.
So, in all if you are placement oriented then you should definitely opt for CSE in IIIT Kancheepuram but if you want to go in research field or you are not only placement oriented then NIT Raipur would be the good one.

I hope this information helps you.
Good Luck!!
NIT Raipur is the second-oldest NIT and the third-oldest NIT Council member. It is a well-established college, having been founded in 1956. (four years prior to formation of first group of RECs).
NIT Andhra is a brand new institution that operates out of a transit campus (at least that's how it was till 2018). The mentor institute is NIT Warangal.
I assume you belong to a different state category. Given that you are obtaining CSE, I feel you have a high AIR. In that situation, NIT Raipur would provide you with a hostel (first year hostel allotment depends solely on AIR and reservation).
I'm not sure what NIT Andhra's hostel amenities are like. In NIT Andhra, I feel that everyone gets a hostel.
Now it's up to you to do the rest.
NIT Raipur is the place to go if you want to live a more comfortable life after four years (remember that both being NITs, will fetch you good placement; but since NIT Raipur is quite old and established institute, this will provide a better stand).
For more information please add both the colleges in comparison tool.

National Institute of Technology, Rourkela, formerly Regional Engineering College, Rourkela is a publicly funded institute of higher learning for engineering, science and technology located in the steel city of Rourkela, Odisha, India .
National Institute of Technology, Raipur is a public technical and research university located in Raipur, India. Founded in 1956 with two engineering disciplines, the university focuses exclusively on science, technology, engineering, and architecture.
I m not very sure about the placement statics of both the institutes currently, but i can state that NIT Rourkela is better than NIT Raipur in all aspects.
In case of branch it is dependent upto you in which field you want to go.
From my point of view NIT Rourkela CSE will be better than NIT Raipur electrical or mechanical.
See both the institutes you have mentioned are quite reputed institutes. Now NIT Raipur have a more repute compared to that of SSTC. Now as your courses are different then its in general better to compare on the basis of course. Now firstly, you have to decide which subject you are interested in. You can sort on your interest and that's the best because if you are interested in a subject, then you will get enthusiastic about it and as a result, doing great in that subject is an easy game. Now from a perspective of placements, CSE have good placements in SSTC. You can obviously go for the course at SSTC if you want to get placed in the field at which you study. In NIT Raipur the core placements aren't that much for Biotechnology, most of the students gets placed in non-core fields such as IT sectors, Software companies etc.
Now based on your aspirations and future planning, you have to choose the subject.

NIRF Ranking of IIIT Jabalpur in 2021 is 80 while NIT Raipur has NIRF Ranking in 2021 as 64 so it shows that NIT Raipur is better to that of IIIT Jabalpur. Also NIT Raipur has affiliations of UGC India, MoE India. Washington Accord, and and AICTE. Hence it is better to choose NIT Raipur.
