Honestly dear Computer Science Engineering is such a stream, everyone is aiming to get this course. But there are other courses like Ceramic , Biotechnology etc. that can be equally important as that of CSE. Out of the options that you chose Biotechnology has the best placements considering the ongoing trends. But if you want to pursue your higher studies in future then Biomedical and Industrial Design gives you immense scope for that. Since it's NIT ROURKELA don't miss this chance , because placements are very good in that Campus. Instead of running for CSE, be ready and choose the one you prefer.
Good luck!!

Hi Ankit!
First of all, congratulations for clearing JEE Mains, hard work pays off!!
NIT Rourkela is considered among one of the top institutions for engineering. It has all the facilities such as digital classrooms, library, sports, internet, hostel, well-equipped labs etc. Faculty members are also master in their subjects. Placement record is around 90-95% in the top recruiting companies such as oracle, google, amazon, IBM, microsoft etc.
As you mentioned that you have 2 years academic gap now, many companies open the window for students having upto 2 years academic gap means you will not face any trouble while sitting for placement. But during interview you might be asked about this academic gap so just be prepared with the honest answers for their questions.
Thankyou!
See both of the colleges are very good. So comparing this two colleges on the traditional parameters isn't significant. The right strategy is that you should take the college which offers the course of your interest. If you are interested in IT then go for DTU and if you are interested about ECE you should go for NIT Rourkela.
Now if you want to choose about the course which will give you a better prospect or a salary then I would say you can go for IT. See the average package you will get at Rourkeela ECE will be similar to that of DTU IT placements. But as you know if you do IT then you will better options to go for big corporates. So if you want to see yourself as software developer or in any IT then I would recommend you to go for IT as it will give you a better prospect compared to ECE.
**Before deciding I would highly recommend you to do some research and try to find out your true interest.
