Facilities on campus include gym, library which houses a large stock of over 75,000 books that corresponds to the needs of all needs of all related engineering field, a large field is maintained meticulously for playing cricket and football. There is a fixed chamber inside the grounds of the institute for two permanent physicians. There are laboratories in every department that have practical knowledge relevant to the topics studied. Also there is Allahabad Bank's functioning extension branch is situated inside the grounds of the NIT Patna. All new banking services are provided to satisfy the needs of students and campus staff.

Hope you are doing well ! Nit Silchar is one of the best place for girls . Girls are treated very well here . You will face zero issue here . I have never heard any kind of cases with girls here . I must say ,it is the safest among any other NIT . Silchar is the second-largest city in Assam and has a literacy rate of 91.05%. It is the second safe city of Assam . The city has the highest rates of land disputes and property disputes, no denial but it does have a reduced number of crimes rates in robbery, vandalism and smuggling since 2017..

As per your information it will be difficult for you to get NIT Silchar with this rank. As per previous year information after 6th round of JOSAA counselling the closing rank for OBC category was around 52,000for home state.

NIT Silchar is one of the good national institute of technology. The highest package of this college is 44lpa and the average salary package is 38lakhs per annum. The highest package is offered by Amazon . Swiggy, Adobe, Capgemini, microsoft, Accentures are the top recruiters. Around 100% students get placed from CSE. Fir general candidates the course fee of computer science and engineering is approx 5.4 lakh.
