The highest package offered is about INR 40 Lacs per annum and the least will be around INR 10 lacs per annum . Top companies like ONGC, pharmaceutical chemicals, etc.

Chemical engineering has good placement but are of non-core companies . Infrastructure: The facilities are very good and clean. There are a lot of courts and swimming pools for recreational activities and enjoyment. The classes are good with smart classrooms, powerpoints and great Wi-fi . After completing B. Tech in Chemical Engineering, candidates tend to get a job in sectors like the oil & gas industry, fertilizer industry, power, and energy industry, air conditioning industry, etc. Candidates get to work as Process Engineer, Production Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Quality Control Engineer, etc..

NIT Trichy has the High rank among all the NITs. Hence, I would recommend that you choose it.

Yes, non-CSE people do get placed in IT companies.

1. If you are not interested in Chemical or Metallurgy then it is better to choose to NIT Trichy. You will have excellent exposure to great faculties, good access to internship and placements.

2. For getting into Software companies you will have to learn programming, and work hard to maintain your CGPA as well. You can do internships that align with your interests in software. That way you can improve your experience in this field and get a really good chance of getting placed in a good software companies with great package.

The typical salary is well over 8 Lakh per Annum, and a number of prestigious recruiters visit the college to make placements for jobs in India and abroad. 28 LPA is the highest package available, 3.5 LPA is the lowest package, and 7.5 LPA is the standard package.

It is quite hard to predict the exact situation as it depends on the number of students attempting the exam, the seat matrix of the college, the preferences of the students etc.

Looking at the previous year trends we can say that it is slightly difficult to get CSE in NIT Trichy .  You have a chance if you belong to the female category though. Usually one needs to have a rank below 1 K for CSE in NIT Trichy.

You have an excellent chance of getting ECE, Electrical and all the other branches in NIT Trichy

Yes, you can surely take instrumentation and control engineering at NIT Trichy. The placements are really good. This course is a full-time course for 4 years of duration. The total fee will be INR 5.63 Lakh.

Placement is one of the things NIT Trichy is known for. Last year's total percentage of students placed across all branches was 96.7 percent. Coming to the CE department, the placement percentage was more than the overall percentage at and stood 96.9 percent. The major roles offered were in the core, IT, and management.

If your CRL is 990, you have an excellent chance of getting CSE in NIT Trichy.

If your category rank is 990, you don't have a good chance of getting CSE .
