I got 97.67 percentile in jee mains 2022 open category student should I prefer nit Warangal civil or IIIT Kota CSE??

thakurvishesh1 5th Aug, 2022

See, this type of question totally depends on what you have to do in future. If you want to go for let's say an MBA or something which is not concerned by engineering, then you should join NIT Warangal as it is a big brand name to be proud of. However, if you want to strictly live in the Computer Science field, then I'll suggest you to go for IIIT Kota as IIITs in general do a good job in training you for that.

So, decide and then choose.

what is the lowest percentile cutoff of nit warangal (home state) for St category

thakurvishesh1 4th Aug, 2022

The lowest cut-off for the Scheduled cast category in the home state quota is 1718 rank in the ST group, and this cut-off is for the Bio Engineering branch. If you score this rank in the ST category, then feel almost sure to get admission into NIT Warangal the next year or this year.

I got 131 marks general female. can I get nit Warangal or iiit hyd

Piyush 4th Aug, 2022

hello aspirant,

According to the previous year JEE mains Cutoff and According to the above mentioned marks in JEE mains, your overall predicted percentile score will be around 96.05 - 97.83 in general category.

Now, looking at the previous year Cutoff for NIT warangal and IIIT Hyderabad, With the above performance in JEE mains, it will be difficult to get any good branches in NIT Warangal as the Required cutoff is more than 99 percentile. But you can get some good branches in IIIT hyderabad with the above mentioned percentile score in JEE mains. You can get branches like Civil, Mechanical, EEE, etc.

To know more about the JEE mains Cutoff, you can follow the below mentioned link : https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff

Hello Aspirant,

See it is quite difficult to tell you an exact figure of your percentile and rank because it keeps on changing every year depending upon various factors but yes we can help you with approximate figures on the basis of analysis of previous year's data.

So If we go through the analysis of marks Vs Percentile Vs rank for JEE-Main 2021 then according to the marks mentioned by you in the question your percentile, CRL rank and ST rank are expected to be in the range of 92.5-92.8, 70000-80000 and around 800-1800 respectively.

You can check out marks Vs ranks Vs Percentile from the link given below :-

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-marks-vs-percentile

Note that the percentile and rank which are predicted is only the expected percentile and rank on the basis of previous year's data so your actual percentile  and rank might vary depending upon current factors.

B ased on such category rank you can go for only NIT Trichy with CSE branch and that too if you deserve Home state quota means if you belongs to Tamil Nadu otherwise neither in NIT Trichy nor in NIT Warangal.

what is the rank to get in jee mains to get into nit warangal??

Piyush 2nd Aug, 2022

hello aspirant,

See NIT Warangal is one the top premier Institutes in India. It is one of the top ranked NIT's in India and so in order to get seat in any of it's branch you have to secure a good rank and marks in JEE mains. In order to get core branches like CSE or ECE you have to score at least 250+ in general category in JEE mains, for OBC category you have to score at least 220-230+ in JEE mains and for SC/ST, the required marks will be around 170-190 in JEE mains.

And if I talk about the sfae rank, then for general category, a rank of within 3000-4500 in JEE mains will be considered as a safe score in JEE mains. And a equivalent percentile of more than 99 will be required to get admission in NIT Warangal for general category.

Please note that the above mentioned marks, rank and percentile was based on the previous year JEE mains cutoff data and this may vary as the JEE mains cutoff varies every year and it depends on various factors.

So If we go through the analysis of marks Vs Percentile Vs rank for JEE-Main 2021 then according to the percentile mentioned by you in the question your ST rank is expected to be in the range of 1200-2200 .

As we go through the latest cut-offs of JEE-Main 2021 of JOSAA 6th round then it shows that you have almost no chances to get NIT Surat with CSE branch even under Home state and ST quota because last year the closing ST rank for CSE branch was around 100 under Home state quota..

You can check out the latest cut-offs from the link given below :-

Note that the above prediction is made on the basis of latest cut-offs available on official website of JOSAA or CSAB and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.

Sandesh 30th Jul, 2022

Hey there!

Well it is hard to predict about the colleges as admission to these institutes depends on various factors like:

1- Difficulty level of examination

2- No. of students appeared in exam

3- No. of seats available in institutes

4- Rank of candidate

5- Closing rank of programs

However we can get a rough idea of seat allocation by analyzing previous years trend.

---With 81 percentile and assuming your OPEN category, your rank would be anywhere in between 194370 - 218500, as per our JEE mains rank predictor tool

https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-rank-predictor

Also according to previous years data, the maximum closing rank at various NITs for general category for CS and IT program is around 6000-12000 considering home state quota.

To check previous years closing rank of NITs for CSE branch https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/nits-cutoff-for-b-tech-computer-science-and-engineering

For IT- https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/nits-cutoff-for-btech-information-technology

So, considering these data you have low chances for getting into NITs.

If you wish to know about the colleges in which you may get admission based on your score, use college predictor tool https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor?utm_source=google-search&utm_medium=paid&utm_campaign=jee-main-clgpd
