I have scored 74.75 in CLAT 2019. I belong to SC category and Uttar Pradesh. Will I get NLU Lucknow?

Apurva anand 13th Jun, 2019

Hello Sapna, No, unfortunately, you won't be able to get a seat in RMLNLU, Lucknow. 2018 closing rank marks of the last admitted SC student was around 116 marks. You might try for some private colleges that accept CLAT Marks. There are some colleges like UPES, ICFAI law college that accept CLAT score.

Any chances of getting any NLU at score of 96/200 in CLAT 2019 under general category?Jalbalpur, Vizag, Assa,Nagpur Shimla. Vacant seats ?

Sampriti Gupta Student Expert 13th Jun, 2019

With the score you're mentioning you'll get a rank somewhere between 2800-3600. If you fall in general category then I'm afraid you have less chances of getting an NLU or colleges like Amity law school and VIPS. But you can definitely look out for these colleges

  • Ideal Institute of Management and Technology
  • Fairfield Institute of Management and Technology
  • JIMS Engineering Management Technical campus, school of Law
  • UPES Dehradun
  • KIIT Bhubaneswar

I AM GETTING 112 IN CLAT 2019, CAN I EXPECT AN NLU?

Souparni Student Expert 13th Jun, 2019

Hello Kirit,

According to the Rank Predictor tool., your 663 to 1,363 considering you are from the Unreserved category. As per the previous year cutoff trends, here are some of the NLUs you can consider -

  • RGNLU Patiala - closing marks - 110, closing rank - 1050
  • NUALS Kochi - marks - 108, rank - 1200
  • CNLU Patna - marks - 104.5, rank - 1600
  • NLUO Cuttack - marks - 104.5, rank - 1600
  • MNLU Mumbai - marks - 110, rank - 1050

Although the cutoffs are supposed to be higher this year, you can still consider these NLUs if your actual score comes as per your expected or maybe even better.

All the Best!

Is there any chances of me not getting any nlu if I am getting 116 marks?

Deepjyoti Roy 13th Jun, 2019

Hey Saurabh,

It's quite difficult to say. It's more like a 50-50 chance. You might make it or you might not. This depends on the results actually. If the results are better than the cut offs are expected to rise. Still you can use the college predictor of career360 to predict your college.

I hope this helps you, good luck!

Sir, I have secured 87 in CLAT 2019, being a NRI sponsored candidate. What are my chances of getting into NLU?

Sampriti Gupta Student Expert 13th Jun, 2019

With the score you're mentioning you'll get a rank somewhere between 4800-6200. Given that you have NRI quota, I'm afraid you have less chances of getting into an NLU but you can definitely look out for colleges under IPU like

  • Fairfield Institute of Management and Technology
  • JIMS Engineering Management Technical campus, school of Law
  • Chander Prabhu Jain college of higher studies

Or other good private colleges like

  • ICFAI Law school Hyderabad
  • MS Ramaiah college of law

What if I dont get NLU? Can I opt for other private private colleges?

Annie Pruthi 13th Jun, 2019

Hey,

National law university is one of the most reputed universities offering various courses, both undergraduate and post graduate, especially in law. Whether you'll get Into NLU or not, depends on your ranking and score you've got. If not NLU, you'll get into some other college or university but again, depending on your score.

I got a score of 83 in Clat 2019. I belong to SC from tamilnadu. What is my scope for getting into NLU?. Which NLU likely?

ATIN KATOCH 13th Jun, 2019

Hello Thangaraj,

For CLAT2019 the merit went high and thus cutoff may probably go high.

With the score of 83 and SC category it seems a bit difficult to get into any of the top NLU but yes you may get a NLU anywhere around the country.

Below is the link for predicting the college you may get with the score and category u may try this once

If I manage to get a seat in Ipu through Clat score & has paid the fees too but later got a call from a Nlu & want to withdraw my admission!

Nikita Akhuli 13th Jun, 2019

Hi

You will have to file an application for withdrawal and take back your documentation. Then you will be able to take admission in nlu. But you will not get back your payment.

i scored 129.5 in clat 2019. what will be my predicted rank and which nlu will i get..

deepanshuj0108 Student Expert 13th Jun, 2019

hello sneha!!

See according to your expected 114 marks you rank will be around 480-1180. This year cut off will be high but their are chances that you will get nlu whose past year cut off was under 1500 rank. So dont worry let the result come. then their are chances that you will get admission in 2nd,3rd round easily. You can check your rank from our predictor: https://law.careers360.com/clat-rank-predictor?icn=clat_rp&ici=clat_article_view_sticky you can also predict the college: https://law.careers360.com/clat-college-predictor?icn=clat-clgpd&ici=qna-sticky-web also you check the past year cut-ff data record: https://law.careers360.com/articles/clat-cutoff

all the best.
