I have scored 77.25 in CLAT 2025, my AIR is 4146 and my category is general. I have J&K domicile, is there any chance to get into any nlu?

Prachi Kumari 14th Dec, 2024

Hello,

Based on your CLAT 2025 score of 77.25 and an All India Rank (AIR) of 4146 with a general category and J&K domicile, here's an analysis:

  1. General Category Cutoff : For most National Law Universities (NLUs), the general category cutoff for CLAT tends to be higher than 77.25, particularly for top NLUs like NLSIU Bangalore, NALSAR Hyderabad, and NLU Delhi.

  2. J&K Domicile Advantage : The J&K domicile could give you a slight advantage as some NLUs have a reserved quota for candidates from J&K. However, the exact impact on cutoffs varies by institution.

  3. Cutoff Ranges : Based on last year’s data:

    • Top NLUs : Your score is unlikely to meet the cutoff for top NLUs (e.g., NLSIU, NALSAR).
    • Mid-Range NLUs : For mid-tier NLUs, the cutoff might range between 80-95 for general candidates, so your chances could be limited.
  4. Possible Options : You may have a chance at newer or lower-ranked NLUs, especially if they have lower cutoffs for J&K domicile candidates.

You can use the CLAT college predictor tool to predict which college you can get based on your score or rank.

Hope it helps !

Sir meri rank general 55000 All india obc rank 12850 hai Obc uttar pradesh rank 2284 Sir up mae domicile hai So Sir I get admit in Ram manohar lohiya nlu

Prachi Kumari 13th Dec, 2024

Hello Aditya,

Based on your All India OBC rank of 12,850 and Uttar Pradesh OBC rank of 2,284 in CLAT, along with your UP domicile status, your chances of securing admission to Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University (RMLNLU), Lucknow, are as follows:

  • Previous Year's Cutoff Trends : In 2023, the closing rank for the OBC (UP domicile) category in RMLNLU was 3,088.

  • Comparison with Your Rank : Your UP OBC rank of 2,284 is well within the previous year's cutoff, indicating a favorable position for admission under the state domicile reservation.

  • Factors Influencing Admission :

    • Annual Variations : Cutoff ranks can fluctuate each year based on factors such as the number of applicants, difficulty level of the exam, and seat availability.
    • Reservation Policies : RMLNLU allocates a certain number of seats for UP domicile OBC candidates, which enhances your admission prospects.
  • Recommendation : While your rank aligns with past cutoff trends, it's advisable to participate in the CLAT counseling process and consider backup options, as cutoffs are subject to change annually.

In summary, your UP OBC rank of 2,284 positions you competitively for admission to RMLNLU, Lucknow, under the state domicile reservation, based on previous year's cutoffs.

You can also use the CLAT college predictor tool to predict which college you can get based on your socre or rank.

General woman having 17000+ rank in CLAT (UG) 2025. Can she take admission in any NLU ? Where she can take admission ?

Mitali Sharma 13th Dec, 2024

Hello

With a rank of 17,000+ in the GLA University UG entrance exam (assuming it's for the Law (BA LLB) program and seeking admission to a National Law University (NLU), it is unlikely that a candidate with such a rank will be able to gain admission to any of the top NLUs through the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) for 2025. The cutoff ranks for top NLUs tend to be much lower (generally within the top few thousand ranks), specially for high-demand courses like BA LLB.

There might be a chance in less competitive NLUs or state-specific NLUs, which may have higher cutoffs. It's essential to check individual NLU cutoffs for a more accurate assessment.

ews 4000 rank which nlu i can get

kumardurgesh1802 11th Dec, 2024

Hello there,

With an EWS rank of 4000 in CLAT, you can expect to get admission in several NLUs, but the specific ones will depend on factors such as the total number of seats, cutoffs, and other variables for that year.

Here are some NLUs where you may have a chance of getting admission:

  1. National Law University, Odisha (NLUO) : Typically, the cutoff rank for EWS candidates in previous years has been around this range.

  2. National Law University, Jodhpur (NLUJ) : Depending on the number of applicants and seats, you could also expect a possible chance.

  3. Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia National Law University, Lucknow (RMLNLU) : This NLU generally has a higher chance for candidates with this rank.

  4. National University of Advanced Legal Studies, Kochi (NUALS) : This could also be a possibility depending on the previous year's cutoff trends.

However, as cutoffs may vary every year, I recommend checking the official CLAT or individual NLU websites for the most accurate and updated information on the admission process and cutoff ranks.

I would recommend you to use CLAT College Predictor Tool by Careers360 to get the list of possible colleges you can get with your rank.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.

my category wise AIR rank is 3681 ews will I get one of the NLUs

Prachi Kumari 11th Dec, 2024

Hello,

Based on your category-wise All India Rank (AIR) of 3681 in the EWS (Economically Weaker Section) category, your chances of getting into one of the National Law Universities (NLUs) depend on several factors:

  1. Number of seats for EWS in NLUs: Each NLU reserves a certain percentage of seats for EWS candidates. The availability of seats varies across NLUs.

  2. Previous year cutoffs : The cutoffs for admission depend on the number of applicants, their scores, and seat availability. They vary from year to year.

  3. Your preference of NLUs: Some NLUs are more sought after than others, which impacts their cutoffs. For example, top NLUs like NLSIU Bangalore, NALSAR Hyderabad, and NUJS Kolkata have much higher cutoffs compared to newer NLUs.

General observations of previous year cutoffs :-

  • For top NLUs, EWS category candidates typically needed a rank under 2000-3000 .
  • Mid-tier NLUs like NLU Jodhpur, NLU Gandhinagar, or NLU Odisha may have cutoffs for EWS candidates extending to 3000-4000 or slightly beyond.
  • Newer NLUs and regional NLUs generally have more relaxed cutoffs, and it is likely to get a seat with a rank of 3681 in EWS .

Based on past trends, you should have a reasonable chance of securing a seat in a mid-tier or newer NLU, but admission to top NLUs might be challenging.

Hope it helps !

if i got all india rank 39139 then what nlu will i get?

Prachi Kumari 11th Dec, 2024

Hello,

Based on the previous year's cutoff trends for the National Law Universities (NLUs), an All India Rank (AIR) of 39139 in the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) may limit your options for admission to top NLUs. However, the exact NLU you may be able to get depends on several factors like:

  1. Rank Range for Top NLUs : NLUs such as NLSIU (Bangalore), NALSAR (Hyderabad), and NUJS (Kolkata) typically have cutoffs within the top 1000 ranks, far above AIR 39139.

  2. Mid and Lower NLUs : Some lower-ranked NLUs, such as those in Lucknow, Patna, or Odisha, may have a cutoff closer to the 30,000-40,000 range in previous years.

  3. Preference for Specialization or Category : Category-based reservations (SC/ST/OBC) may provide an advantage, raising the likelihood of admission to certain universities.

  4. Private NLUs : You may also explore private law schools like UPES (Dehradun), as they might have different cutoffs.

Ultimately, an AIR of 39139 limits options mainly to mid-tier and private NLUs.

Hope it helps !
