Hello student student both Are good at its place but you need to ask yourself that in which you can do a little more push yourself a little extra that'll help you in build a successful career. It's bit tough to get a good nit in comparison with nlu as number of candidates are more in iit entrance examination. So if you're okay with law then go with it you won't regret.

Hello student as this year the clat constorium change the pattern of the clat entrance examination, the paper is not completely comprehension based. It's bit difficult to predict the cut off but on the past year records I believe student need marks around 120-130 to get admission in top 3 NLU's.
The paper consists of 5 sections containing 150 questions. You'll get 1 marks for each correct answer and - 0.25 for each Negative answer.
Clat important dates :-
Application - 1January to 31st March 2020
Admit card likely in March
Exam 10th of May
Results 24th of May.

In order for you to appear for the Common Law Admission Test, you would have to clear the eligibility criteria of the exam. One of the points in the eligibility criteria states that a candidate should have passed in 10+2 or an equivalent exam from a recognized board and general category students should have secured 45% in the qualifying exam while for SC and ST candidates, 40% in qualifying exam is necessary.
As long as you clear this and also the other eligibility criteria, it isn't any problem. Clat NLU results or merits are decided only on the basis of your CLAT Scores and your board marks would not have a say in it. However, it is advised to not take boards lightly as poor academic records would surely affect you in the longer run.
