Yash Dev Student Expert 6th Feb, 2020

Hello student student both Are good at its place but you need to ask yourself that in which you can do a little more push yourself a little extra that'll help you in build a successful career. It's bit tough to get a good nit in comparison with nlu as number of candidates are more in iit entrance examination. So if you're okay with law then go with it you won't regret.

do clat nlu merits will be based on my board marks or only clat marks

Ayush Mishra 19th Jan, 2020

Hey Ayushman!

In order for you to appear for the Common Law Admission Test, you would have to clear the eligibility criteria of the exam. One of the points in the eligibility criteria states that a candidate should have passed in 10+2 or an equivalent exam from a recognized board and general category students should have secured 45% in the qualifying exam while for SC and ST candidates, 40% in qualifying exam is necessary.

As long as you clear this and also the other eligibility criteria, it isn't any problem. Clat NLU results or merits are decided only on the basis of your CLAT Scores and your board marks would not have a say in it. However, it is advised to not take boards lightly as poor academic records would surely affect you in the longer run.

Hope this helps.
