My score is 87.5 and rank is 16561 general.. Any chance of getting nlu

Purnima Student Expert 20th Jun, 2019

Hello Maanya!

Considering the CLAT 19 cutoffs in the first allotment list and expected trends, it seems difficult to get into any NLU. Your low marks and category status do not work in your favour.

But you can consider other private and government law colleges that may provide  admissions at this score and rank. Naming a few:

  • ICFAI Hyderabad
  • School of Law, Gitam University, Visakhapatnam
  • Alliance School of Law, Bangalore
  • LPU , Ludhiana
  • Raffles University, Rajasthan
  • Manav Rachna Faridabad
  • Chandigarh University
  • Constituent Colleges of IPU
  • Bennett University, Greater Noida
  • Chandigarh Group of Colleges,Landran
  • UPES Dehradun etc.
  • Nirma University
  • Amity University etc.

You can consider the above mentioned universities and colleges for admission. Apart from these there are many other as well. These are good enough and may provide you great opportunities to learn and grow.

Hope this helps. All the best!

Sir,I am expecting 94 marks in clat.i am bihar domicile of obc category, women.can I get admisson in nlu patna

Amita Marotkar 31st May, 2019

Hello Chandani!

According to reservation category for OBC the cutoff is around 85-88 for NLU Patna. According to past trends and expected cut offs there are chances that you can get NLU patna based of your score and the benefit of OBC category.

But do prepare nicely for the personal interview because that is a complusion to clear.

All the best!

Hi my daughter got 75.6 In sc category Delhi, is there any chance for her admission in any nlu college

Yash Vardhan Singh 15th Jun, 2019
Hello Sir,

CLAT is one of the toughest examinations in India to get admission in different NLUs across the country.

With above mentioned marks, it'll be difficult for your daughter to get admission in top NLUs but she will surely get admission in most of the lower NLUs.

You can also check the NLUs according to your rank by clicking on the link given below:-

Hope this helps.

Hello!! I got 62.5 in clat with all India sc rank 1217,is there any chances to get into ab nlu??

ATIN KATOCH 19th Jun, 2019

Hello Nishu,

For  CLAT 2019 the merit went higher as compared to CLAT 2018 and thus the cutoff will also go high fr each NLU.

With your score rank and category it seems a bit difficult to get a NLU, but anyhow the trend changes almost every year depending on the no. of students applied and seats available.

below is the link for predicting the college based on your score/rank category  u may try it once

My clat rank is 3514(gen) at 126.25 marks, what are my chances to get into an nlu (3rd tier)

shwetasaini505_9233227 Student Expert 19th Jun, 2019
Hello Astitva,

The 2019 cut-off has not been declared by National Law Universities yet but we can get a rough estimate from previous years' cut-off trends as that plays an important factor for deciding the cut-off every year.

If you see the 2018 cut-off data, you will find that the last rank to be considered was 1588 in MNLU Aurangabad among all the NLUs. The cut-off doesn't change much each year.

Your chances of getting an NLU are very slim, almost highly unlikely, as the cut-off is not expected to go above 1600 rank for any of the NLUs for general category students.

I would suggest you to consider other universities or private universities as there you have better chances.
