My rank 228 CLAT 2019 and got NLU jodhpur. Do I have a chance to get upgraded to NLU Kolkata or NALSAR Hyderabad.

Hey Nimisha!

Congratulations on getting through. You see this year the cutoff is extremely on the higher side and seats are full in the first lists itself for even low ranking NLUs.
It is unlikely that there would much changes in seats as whoever has got the top NLUs would clinge to it without question. Only under some very tragic circumstances would someone renounce their seats.

Wait for the next lists and lets see what happens. Even if you dont get upgraded you have secured a place in a very good college and be assured that when you pass out you will have a great package and personality.

My CLAT AIR is 1858. Can I get NLUJ?

Hi Srishti,

According to previous year counselling results, it is quite impossible for you to get National Law University, Jodhpur. But you can try for Damodaram Sanjivayya National Law University (DSNLU) and Hidayatullah National Law University (HNLU) which may click. Good luck!!

Here is a list of NLUs and their respective cut offs for the general category for admission through CLAT in the previous year. You can expect a similar range of cut off ahead too. Your chances for admission in any NLU is not much. You can go for private colleges accepting CLAT scores insteac.

You stand a good chance to make it to both the institutes you are talking about. Definitely you can get NLU Jodhpur. You may also get admission at NALSAR, Hyderabad or even NLSUI Bangalore if seats are not filled for the concerned category. Wish you all the best.

1. HNLU, Raipur (Hidayatullah National Law University)

2. RMLNLU, Lucknow (Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University).

3. NUALS, Kochi (National University of Advanced Legal Studies).

4. RHNLU, Patiala.

5. NUSRL, Ranchi (National University of Study and Research in Law).

Congratulations on your score this year the expected cut off is high because the level of difficulty of paper was low so the cut will be high. You do stand a chance of getting into national law university bhopal with domicilie or either under obc. Apart form this your possible options are gnlu, nlu jodhpur, hnlu, mnlu Mumbai.
