National Law University, New Delhi
Hello Anurag!
Delhi university and National law University both are among the top universities in India.
B.A(Hons)Pol Sience from DU is an A grade course choice and so is LLB. The former is an undergraduate course of 3 complete academic years. Admission in it is done on the basis of Class 12th merit. The later i.e LLB is a post graduate course in Delhi University with the eligibility condition of graduation in any field from a recognised institution.Admission in this is done via an entrance exam conducted by Delhi University. LLB from DU is also a 3years course. So combining the total academic years for both the courses make it to 6years.
Considering BA LLB from National law University, it is an integrated undergraduate course of 5 yeras providing a degree in BA+LLB.
Considerindg the utilistaion of academic yeras in both the options and analysing individual significance of these courses, it is suggested to opt for BA LLB from NLU Assam. Reason being firstly, it will save your one year that you may utilise in gaining other practical experiences and focusing on your other professional qualification for CA, secondly NLU Assam is a constituent college of NLU consortium and thirdly the need to give another entrance for pursuing LLB after gradaution shall be eleminated since you will be opting for an integrtaed course.
The above provided are pure suggestions, the final decission should be yours.
Hope this helps, All the best!
Hello student,
VIPS in an established institutes and among the top under IP University. It is based in Delhi and hence it has a great locational advantage in terms of internships and placements with District courts, high court, supreme court, and many good law firms and lawyers in the same city. Colleges like VIPS etc are doing better than these lower Tier NLUs and you cant expect the same for NLU Sonepat. SO I would suggest you to not just dig the NLU tag and go for VIPS because as of now it is doing much better than lower NLUs.
Cheers!

With 2200 gen category rank in CLAT, you may not get admission into the any govt law college, you would have had a chance in CNLU Patna if you have had GEN-SAP category, but otherwise it doesnt seem possible. However there are plenty good private colleges offering LLB courses like KIIT school of LAw, Symbiosis, etc you can try applying to those.
Hey.
Just like NLU Sonepat, many new National Law Universities have opened, the number of vacanies are also quite more. The lower tier and New NLUs are not as preferred as much as the other NLUs. Somehow they lack in the area of placements, faculty, other opportunities etc. Many students prefer to opt for other colleges than these lower Tier NLUs as they offer better opportunities and facilities overall. If you compare traditional colleges or other private colleges like Symbiosis, Jindal, Christ, Nirma, Narsee Monjee etc these colleges are way better than lower tier NLUs including NLU Sonepat. They will have better placements, better faculty, better internship opportunities.
You will also have guidance from your seniors. The fees difference is also not much btw various private colleges and NLUs as fees of NLUs are more than what government colleges usually take.
Now it all depends on which options you have. If you have to choose between well established and ranked private colleges it is better to opt for those instead of NLU Sonepat. But if you're choosing between the not so well ranked private colleges or don't have other option then you can consider taking admission here instead.
Best of luck
Hello Indira Balasubramanian
First of all congrats for securing 131 rank inNLU 2019 . As per my knowledge students below 1k ranks are eligible for almostall top NLU (it will be little tough if you are from general category) . So youhave very high chance of securing good course in the 1st round of counselling elselast round counselling is all yours :)
I am assuming you a general candidate (forreserved category it will be much easier) As per previous year cutoff andtrends you can get tier1 NLUs rest you will definitely get assured seat in tier 2 NLUs Though it will toughfor getting seat in the top ones still you have hope and you have to wait till lastround for getting top colleges .
All the best:)

Hey!
NLU , Sonipat is commencing its first batch in this year . So , there is nothing predictable about its cutoffs. But with this rank , i assume your score to be around 108.5 and as per the previous year cutoff trends , you need a minimum of 110 even to get in a low ranked NLU. So , although your chances are not so good , but you can give yourself a try as this is a new NLU , so may be you can have chances.
To know the previous year cutoffs for all NLUs , follow the given link :
