I got AIR 804 (General category) in CLAT PG 2019? Any chances of getting NLU?

Varsha Mishra 15th Jun, 2019
Hiiii dear!!! Congratulations for your rank firafof all. Yes you have high chances of getting most of the NLUs except for the top eight NLUs and NLU Mumbai. Rest of the nlus have closing rank less than 804 for general so you can go for these colleges. For further information please go to the below provided link.

Sir I scored AIR 1616 n all India obc 210..is ther is any chance to get nlu?

Hello punin,

First of all congrats for securing 1.6k rank in NLU 2019 . As per my knowledge students below 1k ranks are eligible for almost all top NLU (it will be little tough if you are from general category) . So you have very high chance of securing good course in 2nd round of counselling else last round counselling is all yours :)

I am assuming you a general candidate (for reserved category it will be much easier) As per previous year cutoff and trends you will definitely get assured seat in tier 2 NLUs Though it will tough for getting seat in top ones still you have hope and you have to wait till last round for getting top colleges .

All the best:)

I got 91.75 marks in clat and i got all india rank 14581 . Can i get admission in any nlu in 2nd or 3rd allotment list.should i goforprivate

Hey.
The cut off for admission in any of the National Law Universities through CLAT in the previous year was a rank in the range of 1600 for the general category. Considering that your score is 91.75 you do not seem to have any chances for any of the National Law Universitiesif you belong to the general category in any subsequent allotment list.
Other than colleges with their own entrances, There are various Private Colleges that accept CLAT scores other than the National Law Universities. You can try for these instead.
Here is a list of a few of them.
Jindal Global Law School, Sonepat
Kirit P. Mehta School of Law, Mumbai
NIRMA UNIVERSITY, Ahmedabad
ICFAI Law School, HyderabadSchool of Law, GITAM University, Visakhapatnam

hello, my rank in clat 2019 is 2788 ,and i belong to UR category, is there any chance for me to get any nlu be it vacant seats list?

mahimadogra_6929406 Student Expert 15th Jun, 2019
Hey Jayant
The cut off for admission in any of the National Law Universities through CLAT in the previous year was a rank in the range of 1600 for the general category. Considering that your rank is 2788 you do not seem to have any chances for any of the National LawUniversitiesif you belong to the general category. Usually there are vacancies in the lower NLUs as people leave their seats for other colleges. You might have a fair chance then. But vacancies are very uncertain and you might/ might not have a chance. Also, if you have other optiona various non NLU law colleges and even private colleges are better than the lower tier NLUs. So you can prefer joining those instead of waiting for vacancies. As far as the last allotment lists are concerned your chances aren't much.
Other than colleges with their own entrances, There are various Private Colleges that accept CLAT scores other than the National Law Universities. You might even have a chance for colleges under IPU, Delhi if you applied there.
