Hello!! I got 62.5 in clat with all India sc rank 1217,is there any chances to get into ab nlu??

ATIN KATOCH 19th Jun, 2019

Hello Nishu,

For  CLAT 2019 the merit went higher as compared to CLAT 2018 and thus the cutoff will also go high fr each NLU.

With your score rank and category it seems a bit difficult to get a NLU, but anyhow the trend changes almost every year depending on the no. of students applied and seats available.

below is the link for predicting the college based on your score/rank category  u may try it once

My clat rank is 3514(gen) at 126.25 marks, what are my chances to get into an nlu (3rd tier)

shwetasaini505_9233227 Student Expert 19th Jun, 2019
Hello Astitva,

The 2019 cut-off has not been declared by National Law Universities yet but we can get a rough estimate from previous years' cut-off trends as that plays an important factor for deciding the cut-off every year.

If you see the 2018 cut-off data, you will find that the last rank to be considered was 1588 in MNLU Aurangabad among all the NLUs. The cut-off doesn't change much each year.

Your chances of getting an NLU are very slim, almost highly unlikely, as the cut-off is not expected to go above 1600 rank for any of the NLUs for general category students.

I would suggest you to consider other universities or private universities as there you have better chances.

I got All India Rank 3704 in Clat pg course 2019 can I make it in nlu?

shwetasaini505_9233227 Student Expert 14th Jun, 2019
Hello Shiwani,

The official cut-off is mot out yet for the NLUs, however we can make an approximate estimate of ehat the cut-off rank could be based on previous years' cut-off trends.

With your rank, I would say that your chances of getting an NLU is quite slim because if you consider 2018 cut-off then the farthest rank among all NLUs was of MNLU Aurangabad which was 1588 and the cut-off is not likely to shift much from this number in 2019 so I would recommend you to look and try for other colleges as well as you have quite less chances in NLUs.

You can use the below link to predict the colleges you can get with your rank-

I have a clat 2019 score of 121 with 4600 rank. Are there any chances of getting into an NLU?

Purnima Student Expert 19th Jun, 2019

Hello Aspirant!

As per my analysis of CLAT 2019 results and declaration of the first allotment list, your chances of getting into any of the NLUs is negligible because the results this year have been sky high. But you should not lose hope. There are many private colleges and universities that will certainly offer admission at this score and rank. Naming a few:

  • Jindal Global Law School
  • ICFAI Hyderabad
  • School of Law, Gitam University, Visakhapatnam
  • Alliance School of Law, Bangalore
  • LPU , Ludhiana
  • Raffles University, Rajasthan
  • Manav Rachna Faridabad
  • Chandigarh University
  • Constituent Colleges of IPU
  • Bennett University, Greater Noida
  • Chandigarh Group of Colleges,Landran
  • UPES Dehradun etc.
  • Nirma University
  • Kirti P. Mehta School of Law
  • Amity University etc.

You can consider the above mentioned universities and colleges for admission. Apart from these there are many other as well. You may also consider a year drop, if this was your first attempt as the score you have mentioned is good and but cutoff is high this year. Another attempt may help you land in any of the NLUs.

All the best!
