NSTSE stand For - National Level Science Talent Search Examination.
Students studying Classes 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9,10,11(PCM) ,11(PCB),12(PCM) and 12(PCB) can sit for the examination.
NSTSE follows CBSE syllabus, Question Papers are also suitable for Students of ICSE/ISC and Various State Board/Matriculation Syllabus.

Yes, you can apply for both NTSE and NSTSE at the same time in your 10 th class but the the thing is you need to score atleast 60 percentage of marks in your previous year annual examination that is ninth standard for appearing in NTSE examination in your 10th standard but for appearing in NSTSE you can be any standard which is starting from second to tenth standard and in intermediate also. So, yes you can apply for both of them and you will be having your 10 th examination as well unlessyou dont fell it as burden.

You did not mentioned the class for which you are applying to NSTSE exam. The NSTSE (national level science talent search exam ) is conducted for the various level of school class. For class 1and 2 the paper include mathematics and general science subjects.
For class 3- 6 the paper include mathematics, general science and critical thinking Subjects.
From class 7 onward the subject included are -
Mathematics,Physics , Chemistry, Biology and Critical Thinking.
For mathematics, general science, biology, physics, chemisty the NCERt books are must as they will cover all the basic. Beside this here is the link for list of reference book for each class suggesed by the NTSE exam conducting authority - https://www.unifiedcouncil.com/reference_books.aspx
NTSE 2020 Registration will tentatively begin from the month of August on the official website: ncert.nic.in. The application fees might vary from State to State and Union Territory to Union Territory. SO please do help us with the State you belong to.
