Is filling up of NEET application form enough to get eligible for admission to various colleges in India or need to fill other state wise forms too ? Being resident of Karnataka,do I need to fill the form of CET too ?

Aman Mishra 10th Jun, 2021

Hi,

The main exam for getting admission in India for MBBS is NEET entrance exam and it is important to fill this form to be eligible to give that particular exam on the basis of which you get the further colleges in India, now talking about CET it is a state level entrance exam test which makes you eligible to take admissions in the different state colleges, so filling both the forms just makes your chances more of getting a good college.

Thank you..

Hello Maam, I belong to SCBC category. I am having SEBC caste certificate, Non creamy layer certificate and Also, Caste validity certificate. But in NEET application form, SEBC cast is not included. Which caste I need to opt in for? Thanks, Payal Patil.

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 10th Apr, 2021

Hi

SEBC category is a state level reservation and while participating in NEET state counselling you will be able to choose SEBC category because in state counselling the options of category are per that particular state.

But neet is a national or central level entrance examination so while filling the application form SEBC category is not there, most probably it should fall in the OBC category but still you should check your caste in the central list of OBC and if your cast is there then you should select OBC category or else general.

Central list :

Hello,

NIOS students have to fill up the application form the same way as the normal students.
While filling up the 11th class details the candidates must keep in mind to write :

  • Name of School : Same Institute from which class 12 was done

  • Year of Passing : One year before you passed class 12

  • Place of study : Location in which Class 12 institute is located

  • State or District where class 11 school is located : Will be same as Class 12 institute's location

So,in short you must fill in the details of Class XII in the place where Class XI details are asked.

Hope it helps

can gazette work in case we have correction in mark sheet for fathers name spelling at the time of neet exam. if yes then how will it work. do we have to give it at time of exam or we have to post incorrect mark sheet in neet application form . but there is no such option to post any other

Sharon Rose Student Expert 31st Mar, 2021

Hello,

If there is a spelling mistake in your father's name in the marksheet then you need to get an affidavit stating that the spelling is wrong and also mention the correct spelling that should be considered for verification. You can then provide this affidavit along with the necessary documents both original and photocopy of them at the time of NEET document verification or admission.

You can upload the marksheet while filling the NEET application form even if there is a spelling mistake. As you are providing the affidavit at the time of document verification/admission you will not face any problem.

for Long term coaching student can enter qualifing examination code 02 in neet application form?

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 16th Mar, 2021

Hi

Your long term coaching has nothing to do with Neet codes what matters is your 12th qualification which decides your need codes.

By long term coaching I am guessing that:-

  • you are doing coaching since your 11th and right now you are in 12th in going to appear in 12th board examination 2021 in that case you should choose the code 01
  • you have already passed 12th and you are a dropper and your still taking coaching for your Neet preparation in this case you should choose code 2

A short brief of Neet codes is provided below:-

Code 1 :- code 1 is for all those students who are going to appear for their 12th board examination in 2021 with physics, chemistry, biology and English.

Code 2 :- code 2 is for all those who have passed their 10+2 in the year 2020 or before with physics, chemistry, biology and English

Code 3 :- code 3 says it is for those passed their intermediate / pre- degree examination  in the year  with physics, chemistry, biology and English ,your physics, chemistry and biology should also contain practical exam.

Code 4 :- pre - medical degree with Physics, chemistry and biology.

-) Pre medical degree  are generally offered in countries like US and Canada where students have to obtain pre medical degree before applying to Medical schools/college.

Code 5 :- code 5 is for all those who are doing BSc and has all the three of Physics, chemistry and biology in their graduation.

Code 6 :- code 6 is for all those students who have passed  BSc  with at least any two of following subjects :-

-)  Physics,

-)chemistry ,

-)biology

Code 7 :- code 7 is for those who have passed their examination from foreign board which is equivalent of Indian 10+2 board

why there is a column of SINGLE GIRL CHILD in neet application form

Anurag Khanna 15th Mar, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

See there is no any reservation for single girl child at national level or AIQ counselling of NEET but at state level some states use to reserve some portion of seats for single girl child and for those who are twins so only for that purpose it is asked under NEET application portion. Some states like Punjab, Assam and some other use to provide this kind of reservation for all entrance exams and admission in their state.

Apart from this there is reservation of other categories like UR/OBC/SC/ST/EWS and PwD(Horizontally) :-

Category

Reservation

Scheduled Caste

15%

Scheduled Tribe

7.5%

Other Backward Castes

27%

Economically Weaker Section

10%

Persons with Disability (PwD)*

5%

Candidates having disability/PwD certificate showing disability more than 40% are eligible for horizontal reservation across all categories including unreserved seats.

For complete details about NEET reservation criteria kindly check out the link given below :-
