They are asking for it because 10th certificate is important as a part of your academic details/record.
No, this is not the first time when NTA is asking for 10th certificate for neet application form.
Earlier 10th certificate was uploaded while filling the neet application itself but this year
NTA hasn't notified about 2nd phase/ part filling yet. The 2nd part/ phase needs to be filled before your neet Result or downloading of neet result/score card , NTA will notify separately later on about phase 2 filling.

Hope you are doing all good. Coming to your question... Yes, apparently all the students require citizenship certificate for NEET registration phase 2. Along with this, they also require category certificate (if any), PwBD certificate(if any) and Class 10 certificate.

Hello Aspirant! If your mother is qualified till 10th then fill the qualification as 10th pass/matriculation. Her certificate or marksheet isn't required or needed in your NEET registration and also it won't be checked. And if your father isn't educated then fill the qualification as uneducated nothing else.
