After the neet result declaration, counselling happens which are mainly of two type one AIQ COUNSELING in which every student can participate for 15% AIQ seats in Government medical College of India. AIQ counseling is also conducted for 100% seats of deemed/private medical colleges of India.

With 490/720 in NEET, assuming youre from General Category, you may have low chances in securing a seat under All India Quota in most of the good Government Medical Colleges for MBBS. You have still fair chances under Home State Quota in Government Medical Colleges in your State as well
