I am from nepal, and married to indian boy. Now i want to study furthur. i want to take admission in Bcom. what is procedure to get admission in any private/Goverment college?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 3rd Dec, 2020

It is not clear whether you have retained Nepali citizenship or acquired Indian Citizenship by the virtue of marrying an Indian National. Also it is not clear where you would like to pursue your Bachelor's degree from. Each State has its own admission criteria for Indian Citizens and Foreign Nationals. And so it is important to zero on a College first. Most Universities have entrance examinations for admission to Undergraduate and Post Graduate courses. There are also Universities that accept merit based admissions. So it is important to figure the College that you want to take admission in, understand its admission procedure and move ahead accordingly. You will not need any approvals from Embassy but you will need all your Original documents including a valid Passport. You also might have to furnish your Sponsor details for few Universities. And there are certain scholarships for Candidates who wish to pursue Education in India and you can check them at https://www.edoofa.com/home. Now most Colleges and Universities have completed their admission process for this academic year and so you might have to wait until the next academic year.

How much NEET score is required to study MBBS in nepal?(OBC)

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 14th Aug, 2020

To study MBBS in Nepal, you should score a minimum 40 percentile of the top NEET score. That is the minimum qualifying percentile for qualifying in NEET. You need to just score the qualifying marks in NEET against your Category to be eligible for studying MBBS in a foreign country. Now the formula is 50 percentile of the top NEET score for General Category and 40% percentile for OBC,SC,ST. This is the general formula for calculating the cut off. Last year it was 107-133 for OBC Category. Again this is 2019 data and cut offs change every year. Cut offs change every year depending on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no.of Candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. You will need to score atleast 150-175 to qualify in NEET under OBC Category. This is just an assumption.

Does NEET required to study in nepal for MBBS?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 14th Aug, 2020

Madhu, NEET is the entrance examination for admission to MBBS,BDS, Ayush and Veterinary courses across India. Not just in India, but NEET is mandatory exam to study MBBS across the world. That includes Nepal as well. So to study MBBS in Nepal, you need to qualify in NEET as well. And to be eligible for NEET, you should have completed your 12th, passed in all subjects and secure a minimum aggregate of 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. It is 50% for General Category, 45% for PWD and 40% for OBC,SC,ST. Now if you belong to OBC Category, the Category you belong to should be also listed in the Central OBC list. Or else you will be considered as General Category and so you have to secure a minimum aggregate of 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. This 50% is inclusive of the Theory and Practical marks scored in Physics, Chemistry and Biology collectively. You needn't score 50% in Physics, 50% in Chemistry and 50% in Biology separately. You need an aggregate of 50% or 40% depending on your Category as an aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. And along with Physics, Chemistry and Biology, you should also have studied English as one of the core subjects in your 12th.

Iam a citizen of nepal and I have completed my 10th and 12th from India. Is it necesarry for me to qualify neet in order to get admission in mbbs college in nepal.

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 30th Jul, 2020

NEET is the entrance examination for admission to MBBS,BDS, Ayush and Veterinary courses across India. But if you are a citizen of Nepal, you are not bound to appear for NEET to study MBBS in Nepal. If you want to study MBBS in India, then NEET becomes mandatory for you. Nepal has its own Medial Entrance examination and admissions are based on the score in those entrance examinations but not based on NEET score. Because NEET is an Indian Entrance examination for admission to MBBS, BDS, Ayush and Veterinary courses where in Foreign Nationals are allowed but it is not the entrance examination for other Countries.
