I m a Nepali citizen and hve completed my MBBS from Nepal. I hve heard we need to hve Indian citizenship to give MCI.How does its possible for me to give MCI as I m getting married next year in india and will b practising there only ?????

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 27th Jan, 2020

MCI registration is for Indian Citizens who either are Indian Citizens who have studied MBBS abroad but are back to India and practise here or Indian Citizens who have studied MBBS in India. If you are a citizen of Nepal, you will not be eligible for MCI registration. Once you are married and move to India, you will have to reach out to the Embassy for the procedure of gaining Citizenship because you hold the virtue of getting married to an Indian Citizen and they will help you with the process. Then you can reach out to MCI for the next process.

Im a Nepali Candidate can i apply for IIT in engineering. And when will the form starts.?

NAVEEN MEENA Student Expert 8th Nov, 2019
Dear Ankit, yes you can apply for IITs but for that you need to score well in JEE ADVANCED and JEE MAINS(qualifying exam for JEE Advanced). Nepal students are eligible for JEE Main exam. Nepal students are not included part of NRI. So you can easily apply for JEE Main exam. Also jee mains exam is conducted twice a year, you can apply in any of the two or both.

If you have completed 12th standard from a recognized board with physics, chemistry and mathematics with above 50% marks then you are eligible for IIT JEE exam. 5% marks relaxation is provided for SC/ST category candidates.

Also, there is a JEE MAINS exam centre  in Kathmandu. It would be easier for you to give exam. The registration for JEE MAINS for Jan is closed on 10th Oct, 2019. You can apply for JEE MAINS APRIL SESSION. The forms will be available on 7th Feb, 2020(Tentatively).

All the best

Hope this helps
