Biomedical engineering is a combination of engineering , life sciences and healthcare.
Aspirants may appear for the examination with the subject in which they have completed their post-graduation or related to that subject as per the UGC NET exam guidelines.
Environmental science is not related to biomedical engineering!
Two organisations conduct NET exams namely UGC and CSIR.
The NET in Major Science Subjects, viz., Chemical Sciences; Earth Atmospheric Ocean & Planetary Sciences; Life Sciences; Mathematical Sciences and Physical Sciences is conducted jointly with the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), New Delhi.
Most closest to your field of study is life science.
The paper pattern and syllabus of CSIR NET life science could be found in the below link.
https://csirhrdg.res.in/Home/Index/1/InPage/37/26
You can avail the same benefits in CSIR NET as in UGC NET.
Both will make you eligible for lectureship or fellowship or both.
Hope this answers your query!
Hi there!
As per the recent notification from the Ministry Of Education, PhD will not be mandatory for applying for the post of assistant professor in any university or college in India. This criteria will remain enforced till 2023. As far as NET is concerned, if you have a PhD degree from Top 500 Universities then you would be exempted from NET criteria. Without NET also, you can apply for the post of assistant professor if you are having a PhD degree from Top 500 Universities.
Thankyou.
MA in English Cafeteria course at English and Foreign language University is a course that is primarily based on Phonetics, linguistics and additional English courses but not on the primary basics of English literature. If you have done your UG Hons in English already, I would humbly suggest you to go for MA in English or MA in English Literature course as it is more traditional proper authentic course after which you could apply for NET and become a assistant professor at a college after Clearing that exam.
Hope this helps you!
Good luck.
