mrinalini048 10th Sep, 2021

Hello Rahul!

Yes, after graduating from a recognised University with a bachelor's degree in any field, you can pursue MA in political science. However, each University has its unique admission requirements for MA( political science). Few colleges provide admission based on an entrance exam, and some offer admission based on percentage obtained in graduation.

Candidates can apply for the UGC NET Exam only if they have a Master's degree in the course. To apply for the UGC NET Political Science exam, you must first complete your masters degree in political science.

I am 33 years old working in BSNL as Junior accounts officer. Want to change job. Wish to either pursue WBCS preparation or study for NET in management. Which would be a better and easier option for me. I am an Mba (finance) and M. com.

Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 7th Sep, 2021

hi,

see currently you are doing a government job, now see ugc net score is evaluated for recruitment of lecturer or professor in govt as well as private institute. so if you want to switch to teaching profession , you may study for ugc net.

now coming to wbcs, exam is quite hard and have to prepare for one year, however the compensation is good and have excellent opportunity for graduates as well as commerce graduates.

however wbcs exam preparation is tougher than ugc net, but you have to decide what you want after clearing these exams, so take your decision accordingly. see none of the competitive exam is easy, you have to study sincerely along with your job to crack the exam.

all the best for your future endeavor.

As i want to proceed in the teaching field, will there be any problem if i pursue M.Com after B.M.S./BBA and then qualify NET in commerce. Will the B.M.S+M.Com combination pose any problem in my career?

Shamik Debnath 8th Sep, 2021

HIii,

The initial step is a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) degree which is a 2 years course and the qualification is graduation in Science/Arts/Commerce. Since you have a BHMS there will be no issue. Subsequent to finishing your B.Ed, the following stage is to show up for TET/CTET. Educators Eligibility Test (TET) is led state-wise and is a public level test.
