I failed my 12th boards in Physics and Chemistry & i dont want to take the compartment exam so next year do i have to take all 5 subjects exam or only these two ?

Sach Thadani 18th Aug, 2022

Greetings!

I am making an assumption that either you belong to CBSE board or your board follows the same rules as CBSE, as those are most widely accepted ones, with that in mind let's start.

See according to rules laid down by CBSE you can appear for compartment for total of 3 times, once after examination in the same year, then in next year when normal boards will be going on( March/April) then in compartment for that boards, however it also very clearly mentions that if any candidate fails or doesn't appears in any of the compartment exams, then he/she will have to appear for ALL the subjects in the following years board examinations.

So in conclusion if you don't appear for compartment exam you will have to appear for ALL five subjects next year

I am taking drop this year and planning for Jee 2023..I passed 10+2 with PCM with 96% in 2022, got 89.2 percentile in jee main ..should I take admission in any Btech cs this year from any institutions or wait for next year

Hi,

You have a good record of marks which shows that you are a hardworking student. Also, the percentile that you scored is good. You can take a drop and work hard and take up the JEE 2023 exams. You should aim for IITs. If you can manage to score 89 percentile with your board exams, you can also manage to score a better percentile next year and also prepare for JEE advance exam. The main thing is consistency. If you are consistent throughout your drop year, you will surely crack the exam.

Moving on to the next part of your question. If you want to take up a college and go this year, it is okay. If you can manage both JEE and College, then you can go for it. Otherwise, if you want to take up a college and study, it will be your decision.

In my opinion, you should try one more year for better college options. If you are ambitious enough you will be able to do it. Rest is your choice.

i have passed 12 in 2022 with 73%marks . if I will give improvement exam next year will i be able to appear in jee in 2023 as 75% in only required for joosa councelling not for appearing in jee

Sevit Kar 17th Aug, 2022

Hello,

I would advise you to take improvement exam if you are planning to take up a drop. Because it is quite possible that 75% will be introduced from next year .

So, 75% in mandatory for taking admission in NITs and also for giving jee mains so even if you give the exam you won't be able to take admission in these colleges.

In aggregate you should obtain 75% in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry.

can I leave class 12 mid session? and take admission in class 11 next year?

Akriti Suman 15th Aug, 2022

Yes you can. But you are going to have 4 years gap in your 12th board marksheet after 10th board, which is normally 2 years in other students marksheets.

I got 65% in class 12th 2022 CBSE boards, I want to give an improvement exam for overcoming 75% criteria for jee the next year 2023, should I give improvement exam as a private candidate or as a regular candidate, please help me.

Brijnandan675 15th Aug, 2022

Hello aspirant,

Hope you are doing well!

You can give improvement as a private candidate only. Just go through the board's official website and check the details for the application filling of the improvement exam. You can also give improvement the same year as of your regular exams in class 12th.

Hope this will help and feel free to ask any further queries in the comments section.

And now you can also predict your chances of admission in colleges through JOSAA Counselling using the tool given below:
