No your previous education doesn't go invalid when you do any course or degree from an open school or university. Many people do this. Working people often go for distance education to simultaneously upgrade their knowledge while working to get promoted. This doesn't mean their previous degree goes invalid.
If you haven't done your HS from the board then you can obviously go for the higher secondary examination with other subject. Although you will not be able to use both the results. You have to go with one marksheet either the NIOS or the HS.

Hope you are doing well ! If you want to do any two courses together then one of them should be on regular basis and one should be from private university so if this criteria is fulfill then you can do both the courses simultaneously.

NIOS candidates are eligible to appear for NEET according to amendment to certain rules few years before. All over India the rules are the same , the same applies to Karnataka board too.
