NIRF Ranking
hello
First of all, you will have to apply for counselling on Josssa site. After that you can fill choices as per your preference.
Some top NITs you can consider are:
1. NIT Trichy
2. NIT Warangal
3. NIT Surathkal
4. MNNIT Allahabad
5. NIT Rourkela
6. MNIT Jaipur
7. NIT Jalandhar
8. NIT Bhopal
9. NIT Surat
10 NIT Nagpur.
These are some top NITs you may consider as they have very good placement records and are also ranked high in NIRF.
You can choose branch preference as per your interest, if you are more inclined towards any particular field they you should keep that branch up in priority.
And if you are unable to find your interest then I would suggest go as follows:
1. CSE, IT
2. ECE, EE
3. Mechanical, Production etc
You can try out college predictor to know what college are you getting: https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor?utm_source=qna&utm_medium=jee_cp
Hope it helps.
First of all I would like to tell you that IET lucknow is a government college under the UP government and is considered a good college but for your information it still does not take part in nirf rankings hence it is not ranked under nirf ranking but the overall review of this college is good and has good return on investment as it has a decently low fee but has a decent placement record.

Hi,
On September 29, 2015, Honourable Minister of Human Resource Development launched the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), which was approved by the MHRD. The technique for ranking institutions across the country is outlined in this framework. The methodology is based on the overall recommendations and broad understanding reached by a Core Committee established by the Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD) to define the broad factors for evaluating universities and institutes.
"Teaching, Learning, and Resources," "Research and Professional Practices," "Graduation Outcomes," "Outreach and Inclusivity," and "Perception" are some of the main categories covered by the parameters.
The NIRF ranking of RNSIT lies between 250-300
Hope that answers your question
