does nmims take vocational subject in grouping board marks?

Prachi Pant 18th Nov, 2020

Hey

Yes, NMIMS do consider science vocational courses for calculating the eligibility criteria for courses such as B.Tech and MBA (Tech).

When talking about getting admission in the mentioned courses in the Mumbai campus, science or science vocational courses, an aggregate minimum score of 50% in PCM in class 12 or equivalent, is required for getting admission.

Thanks

Why is S.P. Jain and NMIMS not in the list ??

Sonali Sahu Student Expert 4th Sep, 2019

Hello,
The college might not have any empty or vacant seats available. or there might be some other reason. So there are not in the list.

You can go for the other colleges which are in the list. If the colleges are not in the list then that has no solution. It is completely depends on the authority who maintains it.

Hope it helps!

Nmims why preferred application form...... If i get. Nmat exam... So is necessary to application form?

Himanshu Student Expert 1st Sep, 2019

Yes!! You need to fill separate form for NMIMS Mumbai after filling in the NMAT application form.

And not only this! You need to apply again separately on NMIMS website if you wish to appear for another window in a season.

As NMAT can be appeared 3 times in a year when the exam season starts , so u need to apply every single time on NMAT by Gmac website and on NMIMS website separately or else your score in NMAT exam will not be considered by the institute.

All the best

What is eligibility criteria for MBA in IIMs and NMIMS? Is it aggregate of all semesters and it should be 50% minimum?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 18th Aug, 2019
Dear Romil, there are 20 IIMS and each IIM has a different admission criteria. While the basic eligibility criteria remains 50% aggregate for General Category in Graduation, its 45% for Reserved Categories or equivalent CGPA from any recognised University. The admission criteria of each IIM is independant to mandate their own eligibility criteria including CAT score, accademic cut offs, past academic performance, relevant work experience, etc. Selection of Candidates for Institutions accepting CAT scores depends upon the Institution you are interested in. The basic step is to check your CAT score and few Institutions conduct further rounds like Written Ability Test, Group Discussion and Personal Interview. The weightage will be given to both the procedures while selecting a Candidate. Candidates will mostly be shortlisted based on their CAT scores. The 20 IIMS and all the Participating Institutions will announce their Cut offs. The cut off is prepared after checking various factors. MBA aspirants will have to apply separately to all the Colleges that accept CAT scores. While CAT score remains the main criteria for selection, IIMs also consider other factors like previous academic performance, work experience, gender and Academic diversity.

IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Calcutta and IIM Bangalore conduct their admission process separately.

The newly established IIMs follow a Common Admission Process which is also called CAP. The shortlisted candidates will have to appear for a Common Written Ability Test and Personal Interview Rounds. A separate Institute wise merit list will be prepared and this merit list will be declared based on individual admission and selection criteria.

IIM Sirmaur, IIM Jammu, IIM Nagpur will release their own merit list according to the CAT score or percentile and profile of the Candidate. There are no further rounds for these Institutions.

The B schools which do not fall under IIMs will conduct their own selection process. The process of selection such as Group Discussion, Written Ability Test and Personal Interview are conducted at the Institution's discretion.

IMT Ghaziabad, MICA conduct group activity or group exercise instead of group discussion. Some Institutioms also conduct Written Ability Test and Personal Interviews after Group Discussion.

Required percentiles:

FMS, Delhi needs 95 percentile.

IIM Shillong: 92 percentile

NITIE Mumbai: 91 percentile

IIM Bangalore, IIM Calcutta, IIM Lucknow, IIM Indore, IIM Kozhikode, IIM Tiruchirapalli, MDI Gurgaon, IIM Udaipur, IIM Rohtak, IIM Ranchi, IIM Kashipur, IIM Raipur, IMT Ghaziabad, IMI New Delhi, XIM Bhubaneshwar and New IIMS need 90 percentile.
