No for any institute campus is optional if you are staying near to the campus then there is no need of hostel accommodation
NMIMS gives admission to BBa courses based on NPAT exam only. Admission is not on basis of 12th aggregate marks.
Students need to appear for exam and simultaneously shortlist will be based on NPAT minimum cutoff marks.

I would not say that it will hurt your MBA application but it might certainly have an effect during interview. But this little can be easily masked by a good GDPI and also you can cover up by gaining some work experience now.
