I got Artificial INTELLIGENCE MTECH in NIT Uttarakhand and in NSUT East campus . Which college should I prefer ?

ginnisachdeva02_9364270 Student Expert 22nd Aug, 2021

Hi Aspirant!

Both colleges, NIT UK and NSUT East campus provide good facilities to students such as digital classrooms, well-equipped labs, library, sports, internet facilities, hostel and hygienic food etc. Faculty members in both colleges are highly skilled and supportive. For placements, NIT Uttarakhand has better record over NSUT (East campus) (as per the reviews). Many companies such as BPCL, Wipro, IBM, Samsung R&D, Infosys, L&T, Capgemini etc. visit the NIT with average salry package of 6-7 LPA and highest salary package upto 30 LPA.

Thankyou!

What should I choose DTU Cse or NSUT Cse If DTU is 5 min from my home and NSUT is 50 min from my home and I am a day scholar

Shalini Parimal 21st Aug, 2021

Hi Aspirant,

Both the colleges Netaji Subhas University of Technology  and Delhi Technological University are amazing in it's own. But if you are judging them just on the basis of it's distance from your home then I would say it's a really bad idea to do so. There are lots of measurements on which basis you can judge and compare these two colleges and get the idea which is best for you to go for study.

Refer the link below to compare these two colleges on basis of study, placements, etc to make a wise choice,

Hope this helps.

All the best!!!

I got 80%ile in jee main july attempt. i am from sc category & from UP can I get admission in any NIT or DTU, NSUT or in any govt. college in my home state like HBTU or some good colleges

Abhishek Roy 21st Aug, 2021

With 80 Percentile in JEE Main, your CRL will be anywhere around 220k, your SC Rank will be anywhere around 12k. In spite of being from UP Home State Quota, I dont think you'll secure a seat in MNNIT. You need an SC Rank of atleat 6k for that. As far as other options are concerned, you may get a seat in some of the Good GFTIs like SLIET Longowal, NIFFT Hatia and many others.

I belive being from SC Category you have fair chances of securing a seat in UP State and Private Engineering Colleges under UP State Engineering Counselling. For more information and Cutoffs do follow the link below

i scored 97.04 percentile in jee mains feb 2021 . Can i get into nsut ice branch. (general-outside delhi) . What are the chances.. .. in Which round i can get into it???

Akanksha 11th Jul, 2021
Hello Aspirant,
According to previous year's cutoff and your percentile of 97.04 in JEE mains 2021, I believe you have very less chances of getting ICE branch in NSUT. Being an outside Delhi candidate it is difficult to get into NSUT ICE branch with this score. To get into NSUT ICE branch, you should score more than 99.5 percentile. But with this score, you can surely get into other good colleges including few GFTIs.

To predict your college, you can check the below link:

In jee mains 2021 , How many marks and rank should be there for ECS, EE, IT branch in NSUT Delhi and DTU. I am a student of OBC Category Outside Delhi.

Abhishek Roy 18th Aug, 2021

Being from OBC Catgory, Outside Delhi Region Quota, your estimated CRL to secure a seat at NSIT Delhi would be anywhere around

IT:13k ECE: 19k ECE(IoT): 18k EE: 22-23k

Securing a Rank anywhere between 10-20k, you have fair chances of securing one among the above streams. For a CRL Rank in this Range, you must target atleast 98+ Percentile or atleast 150-170+/300 in JEE Main and youll definitely land with a seat at either DTU or NSUT either in the above streams or in other Good Streams like CSE, Mechanical, Instrumentation, Etc. as both Institutes Cutoffs are somewhat comparable for Outside Delhi/OBC Seats and are highly competitive.

Which is best DTU/NSUT CSE or NIT Surathkal IT I am a Delhi resident and want to choose the best in respect of placements. Please answer the question with proper reasons and facts

GyanaPrakashRout 16th Aug, 2021

Dear Aspirant,

Computer Science Engineering deals with the design and development of computer components, whereas, Information Technology is the branch of Engineering that deals with the application of computers in businesses.

DTU:-

Placements: The college is one of the best colleges in India. Also, the placements are very good in the college, according to the previous records, the average package is INR 9 LPA- INR 10 LPA, and for the computer Science students, it goes up to INR 16 LPA- INR 17 LPA. So, let alone the placements, the college life in the college is also very good. And most importantly, all the students got the placement with a very decent package.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is also very good, the whole campus is spread in almost 160 acres. This makes it the second-the largest college campus after the IIT, Delhi. The library of DTU is the place for the students during the summer. Everyone goes there during the non-period hours due to the availability of good Wi-Fi and the AC services. There is the canteen, medical facilities and a big enough ground for the students to play their favorite sports, we also have indoor game facilities at DTU.

Faculty: The teachers are very helpful at DTU. They solve your doubts to the point. Also, the course curriculum is very good and very relevant to the topics in the subjects. We have mid-sem exams and the end-sem exams at the end of the semester. The exams are not that hard, you can easily solve the paper if you have studied at least 70% of the syllabus. Also, you can get all the books related to your course curriculum in the library.

NSUT:-

Placements: The placements in NSUT are its USP (unique selling point). Every major product-based company comes here, be it Amazon, Flipkart, Facebook, Google, Adobe etc. The highest package has gone up to 2 Crore per anum, and the average package is 15-18 LPA. The placement percentage of technical branches is 100%, and non-tech branches also get some major companies like Nvidia. In short, if you are in NSUT, you can easily get a placement with a little bit of hard work.

Infrastructure: From the time NSIT has become an autonomous university, it has invested heavily in the infrastructure. As a result, now the Wi-Fi speed has increased (sometimes till 15MPBS in the library). Classrooms have 4 ACs, and every room has its own Wi-Fi along with projectors on which the professors can teach (they have a blackboard too). The labs need to be improved a little, but still, they have way better equipment than most government colleges (they still need to level up their labs to compete with private universities). They have a clinic in the college where you can get basic dressing in case of an accident. The library has ample books for you to read (but there are fewer books for literature which is understandable as it is an engineering college). They have a student activity center, with a gym, board games like carrom, chess etc. A reading room is present where you can study silently. The canteen food is inexpensive and quite tasty. Overall, it is better than most of the government colleges.

Faculty: The teachers are helpful and available if you have any doubts. They are also strict in their ways of teaching and don't tolerate any nonsense. Examinations are also conducted well on time so that you can have time for extra activities too (like coding) along with studies. The curriculum is more inclined towards the theoretical side than the practical side, but that is changing now because we have lab classes for most subjects, which means we can get more practical knowledge.

NIT Surathkal:-

Placements: In IT and CS courses, around 95-100% of the students get placed every year. The average salary package offered for our batch is around 10 LPA. Top companies that visited our campus include Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Arcesium, Visa, Samsung, Qualcomm, Uber, Intuit, etc.

Infrastructure: Classrooms are very good and well-equipped with projectors and Wi-Fi. The college provides facilities like a gym, swimming pool and a ground for various outdoor sports. Mess food is not that great. Night canteens are available till 2 am, which is good, with food which is slightly better than the hostel.

Faculty: Most of the teachers who teach us are fresh graduates without much experience. They used to read lines from PowerPoint presentations and didn't have clarity on the subjects. Still, there were a few good professors as well who were very knowledgeable. It is crucial to work under such professors for major and minor projects. The course curriculum is relevant.

For more information on NSUT check this link:- https://www.careers360.com/university/netaji-subhas-university-of-technology-new-delhi

For more information on DTU check this link:- https://www.careers360.com/university/delhi-technological-university-delhi

Hope this helps.

Good Luck!

I got 92.5 percentile in jee mains 2021, belong from EWS category. Will I get a seat in ICE branch at NSUT?

Shivam Kumar 12th Aug, 2021

The probability of getting ICE at NSUT (Main Campus) with 92.5 percentile is very less. Last year the closing rank for ICE in the spot round were:

Delhi Region   -  75261

Outside Delhi Region   - 40080

92.5 percentile means about 80000 CRL rank.

Better you try in other colleges with this rank.
