sir my ntpc form caste name is wrong fill up and category is right, caste certificate upload is right.what can I do for my caste name correction for document verification please reply.

Med 9th Jul, 2022

Hello Shashikant,

NTPC does allow candidates to make some changes in case of a mistake in the application. For this they need to visit the official website and find the option that reads "RRB NTPC Application Correction". However, you need to pay a certain amount of money for correcting your details. After making the payment, just hit "modify registration" and the changes should reflect in your application. Please note that you can only make changes to your application TWICE. As of now, the application correction date has not been announced by the authorities .

You can correct the following details in your application form:

  • Personal Details
  • Parent Domicile
  • Gender
  • Category
  • Subcategory
  • Qualifying Examination details
  • Education details
  • Examination centre preferences
  • Signature
  • Photograph

You can perhaps check out the category and subcategory tab for correcting your caste details. I hope that answers your question. Please reach out to me in case of any confusion. Good luck!

durinh online form filling of ntpc , by mistake i fill state cast certificate instead of central certificate. can i change it during document verification.

Kushagra Singh 8th Aug, 2022

Hi candidate,

The cast certificate is issued from state level authorities only. There are not any such central authorities to issue cast certificate.

It is the responsibility of state level government to first confirm and verify the applicant through police verification, then issue the cast certificate to the applicant if found applicable.

The certificate issued is valid to use all over India and the name of the state along with address of the applicant is mentioned on the cast certificate.

It helps candidate to get relaxation based on their category.

So, it will not cause any problems until and unless the certificate is true and verified and have been registered in the database for verification.

Thank you!

I am a general caste studen. i applied for rrb ntpc and cleared the tier-1. Now i got to know that I wrongly select my caste as obc. so what to do now?

Subhalaxmi Biswal 3rd Jun, 2022

Hello Aspirant,

Your candidature is more likely to get cancelled. They will ask for an OBC certificate failing to submit it will eventually cancel your candidature for this exam. Moreover, the cut off for different categories is different and as your entered OBC as your category, you cleared the exam and the cut off for the general category must have been higher than that. It is also not fair to other students as well. These railway and other government exams are very strict in their conduct and will not accept any discrepancy or error. The RRB NTPC exam is administered on the national level by the Railway Recruitment Board to provide jobs as personnel for graduate and undergraduate posts under Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) in several zonal railways and production units of Indian Railways. To pass the RRB NTPC exam, aspirants need to go through different stages of the RRB NTPC recruitment process. The various phases of the RRB NTPC recruitment process are - CBT 1, CBT 2, Typing(Skill Test), Document verification and medical examination. The RRB NTPC exam has been administered for several NTPC posts.

RRB NTPC Posts are as follows

Junior Clerk cum Typist

Accounts Clerk cum Typist

Junior Time Keeper

Trains Clerk

Commercial cum Ticket Clerk

Traffic Assistant

Goods Guard

Senior Commercial cum Ticket Clerk

Senior Clerk cum Typist

Junior Account Assistant cum Typist

Senior Time Keeper

Commercial Apprentice and Station Master

The RRB NTPC exam is administered for desirable aspirants for NTPC posts. The age threshold for aspirants for undergraduate level NTPC posts is 18 years to 30 years with the academic credentials up to 10+2 whereas, for graduate-level posts of RRB NTPC, a graduate with the age threshold of 18 years to 33 years is eligible.

Sir According to RRB NTPC notification 2019 EWS Certificate must be Prior to Application. But someone told me on an RTI reply RRB also validate new EWS. is it correct...?

Lisa 14th Feb, 2022

when you submit an application the details that you submit as well as the documents that you upload have to be final and updated, otherwise there is a problem of invalid data uploading. the data that is uploaded needs to be accurate and the documents that are uploaded should be validated prior to application itself

is job post of railway ntpc good to apply for students graduated in science? is msc necessary? what is pattern and process?

pdwords Student Expert 26th Jan, 2022

Hello,

First of all the recruitment of RRB NTPC is done for various posts but majorly it's either based on 12th passed educational qualifications as in case of Junior Clerk cum Typist/Accounts Clerk cum Typist/Junior Time Keeper/Trains Clerk/Commercial cum Ticket Clerk or it can be based on graduation such as Traffic Assistant/Goods Guard/Senior Commercial cum Ticket Clerk/Senior Clerk cum Typist/Junior Account Assistant cum Typist/Senior Time Keeper/Commercial Apprentice/Station Master, now coming to your question MSc isn't necessary for applying for any of the aforementioned posts, when it comes to the selection process there are two computer based test in stage 1 and 2 followed by typing test or skill test or aptitude test, document verification,

first stage CBT is for 90 minutes carrying 100 MCQs from General Awareness, Mathematics, and General Intelligence and Reasoning for 100 marks, however there is negative marking scheme, for each incorrect answer one-third mark is deduced,

second stage CBT is also conducted for 90 minutes however there are 120 MCQs from rom General Questions Awareness, Mathematics, and General Intelligence and Reasoning

Today there are still many aspirant who wish to appear for government exams, and qualify the same, and getting a job in railway is indeed a big financial security, and that's the prime reason people opt for these, now whether you should apply or not is dependent on you, you must be well acquainted with the job profiles of the aforementioned posts, if you feel comfortable doing that, then  you should go ahead and apply for the same, your decision should be entirely yours, not because of anyone else's, because it's your life, and your career should be aligned with your preference, however if you feel there are other options as you mentioned about MSc, hence you can also go for higher studies, and further pursue UGC NET for JRF or lectureship, or there are state level SETs conducted for the recruitment of assistant professor which you can try for, and in case of teaching at school BEd is compulsory, other than NTPC of Railways, there are UPSC, state PSCs, SSC, banking, insurance to name a few which you can also appear for based on the eligibility criteria of graduation.
