if one has done b.tech after diploma, can he join NTPC ?

Tarreni Behera 14th Oct, 2020

NTPC is a Public Sector Undertaking(PSU ) that hires engineering graduates usually through GATE entrance examination or by conducting its own separate exam in case of vacancy.

To apply for GATE, final year ngineering student and already graduated engineering students  can apply. The candidate needs to provide graduation certificate at the time of hiring.

NTPC does not discriminate between lateral entry(diploma + engineering) students and regular engineering students. The only requirement is to secure a good rank in GATE, have no backlogs and provide relevant certificates that the organisation may ask for at the time of hiring.

To conclude, yes you can apply for NTPC even if you are a lateral entry engineering student . The focus should be more on securing a good rank as the number of vacancies is usually pale in comparison to the number of applicants.

Hey dear, i understand your problem during this situation. I would advice you not to panic about anything, just keep focusing on your goal and keep hustling for it. After some time everthing will be normalized and you can attempt your desired exams. So, stay focused to your goal and don't overthink.

Start with the basics like building the conceptual understanding especially in case of Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning, in case of PO the pattern of question is of very high level, almost to management exams, Clerk is comparatively easier, go through standard books, practice mock papers, evaluate your progress on a daily basis, have a good and positive mindset, and for CET being the sole gateway for government exams, as different exams have different patterns in the sense of we talk about weightage, perhaps the core areas of Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, English, General Awareness more or less remain the same, but we need to wait for official notification regarding this matter for full clarity on this issue.

Can I get add. From AIQ with rank 36010

nimrat17799_9532496 Student Expert 5th Jul, 2019
Hello,

As you have mentioned that your neet rank is 15000 but you haven't mentioned your category. Your category plays a very vital role for your admission. Nevertheless, if you fall under ST /ST/OBC category then you can get the colleges listed below under 15% All India Quota :

  • Rangaraya Medical College, Kakinada
  • ACSR Govt Medical College, Nellore
  • Siddartha Medical College, Vijayawada
  • SVIMS - Sri Padmavathi Medical College for Women, Tirupati
  • Government Medical College, Anantapur
  • Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Kadapa
And some more colleges.....

These all the colleges i have listed according to the previous year's cutoff.

But if you fall under general category then its almost impossible to get admission in the government medical colleges.

For furthermore information please go through the link given below to predict the colleges you may get with your desired rank :
