In this selection procedure they take the top students only. I mean there will be many people who might have scored more than the cut off, at that time there will be a limit to the selection procedure so they take according to that count only. In that the top students will be shortlisted.

The state State scert declares the result for ntse. Till now karanataka , Uttrakhand and Punjab scert has declared results for ntse stage 1 of their respective states.

As the ntse Punjab stage 1 exam was held at 3 November it was expected that state scert should release the result till the last week of January as the Haryana , karanataka and Uttrakhand scert has done.

So you can expect the result to be declared soon. Keep checking the official website of scert Punjab.

SCERT Punjab will release the NTSE Punjab results for Stage I in the last week of January, 2020 in pdf file.Along with this, cut-off will also de declared.

The NTSE examination Phase-1 in Punjab this year was held on the 3rd of November 2019 and the expected cutoff marks are as follows:

General-   130-140 Marks

SC-   110-120 Marks

ST-    85-95 Marks

however, candidates are advised to go through last year's cutoffs to better estimate their chances of making it. The last three years' cutoffs are as follows:

Congratulations on securing 160 marks out of twenty in your NTSE examination. As the expected cutoff for general category students in the first phase is 135-141 and that for the OBC category students is about 106-112 marks, you are expected to easy clear the exam and move on to phase-2.
