Sir which course is demanding in future bsc nursing or general nurse and midwifery

pdwords Student Expert 5th Sep, 2019

Hello,

BSc Nursing will have added advantage over GNM for a number of reasons-

First of all, BSc Nursing is a degree programme while GNM is diploma.

Secondly, opportunities in terms of work wise and growth will be more in case of BSc Nursing, because it being a degree course adds a certainly higher value to one's CV and company and hospitals or other areas of recruiting body will give more preference to this.

Thirdly, for BSc Nursing, it specifically asks for 10+2 from a science background because it's a full-fledged professional course, unlike GNM. So, obviously there's in-depth knowledge provided in BSc Programme, since it makes it compulsory for science students.

Hope, this helps.

As a bsc nurse urine stool clearing is compulsory?

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 12th Aug, 2019

Nurses frequently collect specimens including urine, stool and sputum. They may also perform venepuncture to collect blood samples and support patients through complex procedures to collect specimens, such as biopsies.

Nurses clean up poop whenever it is needed. Sometimes patients can't help themselves. Nurses would say at least each shift , they clean up something from someone. Vomit, poop, pee, whatever the case. People aren't always continent and don't always hit the emesis basin and they sometimes even lose control of their bladders/bowels and sometimes it just happens so fast. So as a Nurse, you will clean up poop and vomit. It's a fact of the job!

Thankyou

Hey Friend !
Ofcourse you get hired in the govt. hospitals in West Bengal for the position of male nurse even if you do your B.Sc. Nursing from any other State the thing is
It should be affiliated to Indian Council or the Respective State.
There are many exams conducted in West Bengal in which eligibility criteria is quite simple and can be applied by all post B.Sc. students.
Simply browse through the net, you would come across the WBHRB.

Hope this helps.

Preksha Ghanathay 12th Jun, 2019

Hello Yash,
Selection Criteria: They select on basis of 12th Board marks and All India CLAT ranking. On the basis of these two parameters, they allot you a merit number. The person with low merit number are being selected until the seats are being filled up.
Therefore, there may be equal chances of a person having 1) AIR 1500 and 90% 12th board marks and 2) AIR 2000 and 94% 12th board marks. ( These are hypothetical examples only to explain the situation. It may not hold true in all circumstances and the degree may vary according to preference criteria of the college).
