Question : Directions: Three statements are given, followed by four conclusions numbered I, II, III, and IV. Assuming the statements to be true, even if they seem to be at variance with commonly known facts, decide which of the conclusions logically follow(s) from the statements.
Statements:
Some trees are leaves.
Some leaves are flowers.
Some flowers are branches.
Conclusions:
I. Some trees are flowers.
II. Some leaves are branches.
III. Some branches are flowers.
IV. Some branches are leaves.

Option 1: Only conclusions II and III follow

Option 2: Only conclusions I and II follow

Option 3: Only conclusion III follows

Option 4: None of the conclusions follow

Team Careers360 10th Jan, 2024

Correct Answer: Only conclusion III follows

Solution : The possible Venn diagram according to the given statements –

Let's analyse the conclusions –
Conclusion I: Some trees are flowers – From the above Venn diagram, it is evident that there is no direct relation between trees and flowers. So, no definite relation can be drawn between them. Therefore, this conclusion does not follow.
Conclusion II: Some leaves are branches – From the above Venn diagram, it is evident that there is no direct relation between leaves and branches. So, no definite relation can be drawn between them. Therefore, this conclusion does not follow.
Conclusion III: Some branches are flowers – From the above Venn diagram, it is evident that the circles representing branches and flowers overlap each other and have a part of their areas in common. So, this conclusion follows.
Conclusion IV: Some branches are leaves – From the above Venn diagram, it is evident that there is no direct relation between leaves and branches. So, no definite relation can be drawn between them. Therefore, this conclusion does not follow.

So, only conclusion III follows. Hence, the third option is correct.

My sister is studying in Gnm nursing in sgl nursing college I have to take admission in bsc nursing in 2024 can i stay with her in her hostel room?

Tanya Gupta 24th Jan, 2024

Hello Aman,

Unfortunately it's not possible to stay with your sister in hostel as in India, it's not yet available for both the genders to stay in the same hostel room, be it siblings or friends. You will have to stay in boy's hostel as both the genders have different hostels. Even if they allow you to stay with your sister, it can become uncomfortable for other girls which is my you won't be allowed to do this.

Hope this helps,

Thank you

can i get into nursing school in Jharkhand? from the website it seems like they accept nios students but i passed my 10+2 with arts. so am i eligible for nursing school in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand?

Ishita 1st Aug, 2024

Hello Aspirant

Unfortunately, you are not eligible for a nursing program in Jharkhand with an Arts background.

To pursue a nursing degree, you need to have completed your 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) from a UGC-recognized Board of Examination. This is a standard requirement for nursing programs across most Indian states, including Jharkhand.

The Jamshedpur College's website might have mentioned accepting NIOS students, this usually refers to students who have completed their 10+2 with the required science subjects through NIOS. Since you are from an arts background, you will not be eligible to apply for Nursing, even if you were an NIOS student.
