can anybody please tell me , what is the difference between nursing training institution and nursing college ?? are they same or different ?

Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 28th Nov, 2019
hi,
if you are interested in doing career in nursing related field you can choose either of b.sc nursing or GNM (GENERAL nursing and midwifery) which is a diploma course. for application in b.sc nursing you need to apply in certain entrance test, like for the state of west Bengal jenpaugh is the bsc nursing entrance test. b.sc nursing is a bachelors degree course and after completing b.sc course you can apply for masters courses in management , diploma in medical lab technology etc. GNM is a diploma courses. it is easy to get into a government hospital after completing bsc in nursing rather than doing nursing training from a private institution.

How many rank need to get govt college in kolkata city in West Bengal in jenpaugh and score out of 200

Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 12th Oct, 2019

hello aspirant,

there are various health sciences courses admission is through jenpauh. however it is really difficult to say about ranking and cutoff as it changes every year. there are some factors the cutoff depends on like number of candidates, seat matrix, difficulty level of question etc. however score 160+ out of 200 will be a safe score for government medical colleges of kolkata.

I made online payment for GNM exam 2019-20..But i dont find bank reference number??

Sonali Sahu Student Expert 5th Oct, 2019

Hello,

If you have made an online payment then there will be option to send you a confirmation message again where you will get the reference number. You can try that way. If not then you can visit the nearby branch and ask for updating your passbook and there you will get all the details and you can ask for details to this concerned transaction. They will have the details and they can share the reference number with you.

This are the only way to do. If not you can use the customer care of the bank where you have your account and ask the concerned person regarding solution to the problem.

Hope it helps!

my rank is 4012, in jenpauh, i am general caste, i wand to get admission in private nurshing college in west Bengal,.

Papiya Mazumder 27th Sep, 2019

Hello,

As per your requirement, i would say that -

There are around 1255 seats in West Bengal for B.Sc nursing including all government and private colleges.

Among these, 771 seats are for general category students. 43 for PC, 50 for OBC-A, 36 for OBC-B, 278 for SC, and 77 for ST - are reserved for these categories.

It seems very difficult to get seat in B.sc nursing. Though can you try for private colleges through management quota. In that case fees will be quite higher than normal.

Good luck.

one is a holder of 1538 rank can she get any college in kolkata for Nursing??? She is allotted in International institute of Nursing and research in kalyani , ao please tell me if any chance of upgradation

DrTeeth 13th Nov, 2020

Hi. The college allotted to a student depends on many factors, which includes the number of students in the examination, number of seats available in a particular category, highest marks obtained by students in a particular category, etc. If you are not satisfied with the college, you can apply for up gradation (without having to leave that seat). In that way even if you don't get a seat in a preferred college of choice, you still have the previous college.
