what are the process to get a job aboard as a nutritionist after completing bsc and pg diploma in nutrition and dietetics? plz reply

Akshita Dhiman 31st Jul, 2021
Hello Aspirant,

To become a registered dietician or nutritionist abroad, you first need to have a Bachelor's or master's degree in the respective stream. Also, you need a verification statement from ACEND which is the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dieticians.

Also, your bachelor's or master's degree needs to be ACEND accredited. You can check the list of colleges here:
https://www.nutritioned.org/registered-dietitian-schools.html
As you are applying from India, you could pursue a Master's Degree in your respective course from any of these colleges to be eligible.

Also, you need to have a minimum work experience through an internship. Next is to qualify for the CDR exam. The CDR or Commission on Dietetic Registration and also obtain a state license, depending on the respective state you plan to get employed.

As you will be applying from India you need to ensure that you satisfy the eligibility criteria to register for the CDR exam. Please access the link below to know the minimum educational qualifications or additional pre-requisites required for the same.

https://www.cdrnet.org/rd-eligibility

As per your educational background, it makes more sense to apply for jobs in India, as it would take a long time to get a Registered Dietician license abroad. But at the end of the day it is completely your choice.

I hope this information helps!

Thank You!

is nutritionist require stethoscope after graduation or during studies?

HowMayIHelpYou 17th Dec, 2020
I am very sorry to put it this way dear student but if you pursue a career solely keeping in mind the aesthetic it provides compared to some other career you don't have the right perspective. You can't develop a passion for such a career choice that way. The most important aspect of what educational endeavors you pursue is how hard you work toward that goal. You can't work hard towards a goal you aren't passionate about. I am sure you will get the proper and factual answer to your question by any other user, but I hope my insignificant thoughts were of some help.
